Interpreter celebrates 10 years of real evidence and cogent argument

Interpreter gives us what people are hungering for, which is actual arguments that are accessible and understood and can take the simple truths we know from the gospel and put them alongside the evidence in the real world.

This is a very carefully constructed statement. Making arguments “accessible” and “understood” doesn’t mean they are true or logically constructed.

Placing them “alongside the evidence in the real world” doesn’t mean they are on par with evidence in the real world.

Something tells me Rasmussen is feeling the need to rehab his professional reputation, while still keeping his gig with Peterson, et al.

I have no idea what the man is thinking, but the construction of that sentence was convoluted and klutzy.

On Saturday, 17 September 2022, we held a special tenth-birthday party for the Interpreter Foundation at the Riverside Country Club in Provo. Invited guests included Foundation volunteers and major donors.

Unfortunately, limitations of space and budget precluded us from inviting everybody who has stepped forward to support and advance the work of the Foundation. So we’re now making video recordings of the event freely accessible to all who might be interested.

I wonder whether the two potentially substantial donors to the completely apolitical Interpreter Foundation who decided not to contribute to the Foundation because of Dr. Peterson's personal political views were invited to the party. Their contributions could very well dictate whether the Foundation's next feature film will be released in June 2024 as Six Days in August or Two Days in August.

The next part (which is entitled “Happy 10th Anniversary, Interpreter Foundation!”) is the film that was shown to those in attendance at the party. Altogether, it runs somewhat less than nineteen minutes (18:37). The first portion of the video offers a collage of photographs of Interpreter volunteers. At 3:38, Dr. Kyler Rasmussen tells how he became involved with Interpreter and explains something of what the Foundation means to him. While he speaks, images on the screen give an overview of Interpreter’s accomplishments to date. Finally, at approximately 8:42, the third and closing portion of Part Two begins. I must confess my amazement that the authors of Method Infinite were not included in the "Happy 10th Anniversary, Interpreter Foundation!" film's spotlight of those who have made the work of the Foundation possible. I do encourage the Foundation to release a Director's Cut of the film that rectifies that blatant oversight and also lists the names of individuals who have left the Interpreter Foundation and the church, expressing thanks for their consecrated service.
