He was hoping that the judge would act hypocritically in relation to Covid-19 rules- and though I’m no lawyer, that seems to be pretty desperate as tactics go. They don’t just seek to represent culture war warriors- they also seem keen on riling the far-right up.
The firm almost nigh exclusively represents social conservative interests up here in Canada. From Covid-19 vax/quarantine mandate disobedience; to anti-lgbtq+ interests; maximal interpretations of freedom of speech (if you’re conservative Christian) etc.
It’s always had a bad reputation in that regard. And apparently he’s even been reinstated as the organization’s president after a short leave of absence.
This is who the church likes to ally with up here. Remember that next time the church or its membership wants to play the ‘association game’ with their perceived opponents.
