#1 NYT best seller "Original Sin"

There is not much discussion here on/of Tapper's/Thompson's book. I am sure most are up to speed on the commotion it has created in the country.

The reason I am starting the thread now is Gunnar just posted on another thread that Bill Clinton denies Biden was experiencing decline.

Biden and his mental decline aside, according to Tapper and Thompson....there was a coverup in the White House. Tapper basically said he missed it and is humbled because he did not see it.

The reaction by the left wing media is all over the board. I find it hard to believe that there was not a coverup by the left wing media in the coverage of Biden's health.

According to Alex Marlow at Breitbart, Tapper is just trying to position the Biden family and several other politicians who will no longer be relevant again to serve as scapegoats for this lie and cover up. I know calling this book a bombshell cover and seeing it go to # 1 on the NYT bestseller list is incomprehensible to anyone consuming right of center media. It's nothing we didn't know back in 2019, even. Original sin was a nothing burger, but the left wing media bubble is still fairly large. And if the Democrats do retake power, this will position Tapper better to reclaim some credibility after lying about Biden's health and berating, verbally abusing, and shaming anyone who questioned it in a failed attempt to get him reelected.

The left was saying Biden was not all there as far back as 2018, when he announce he was going to run. It seems that he was mentally okay once the powers in the party determined he had the best chance to beat Trump.

I am about halfway through with Original Sin, it is not a easy read, the authors paint Biden's dementia was a shock to them, and they did not see it earlier, and that only in retrospect did they now see his decline. It is a hard swallow in that the right wing media saw it from day one and reported about it almost nightly of the pundit shows, on Hannity for sure.

Anyways, it is apparent that there was a cover up, by both the Whitehouse and the Media, and Tapper's book is a cover up for Tapper and Thompson.

The right wing media is saying that this may be a deeper cover up than Watergate, and the more the comes out, the more it seems that they may be correct.

I don't see this going away anytime soon. Folks like Jen Psaki need to come clean, although it would be career suicide if they do, yet if I was a Democrat I wouldn't trust a word they say now, so maybe she should write a book and cash in as Tapper is doing.

The real sin that I see from the left is the weaponization of the justice department against Donald Trump and anyone who worked on his campaign. What's more disturbing to me is that nothing is being set right now that Trump is president. Combine that with Democrat government suppression of speech like Biden is senile (which was labeled and fact checked as misinformation), the fact that we've been lied to about where our tax dollars are going before DOGE, etc. You just can't have a stable democracy with people who feel justified in doing these kind of things so long as it benefits them politically.

Markk, what I'm saying is that your suggestion that we should have all listened to Fox News, the Obama Birth Certificate channel, to get any of our news is [insert expletive here]. You saying that all news outlets are "liars to their cause" is like looking to heaven and intoning that "we're all sinners," when the conversation turns to Ted Bundy. The reason that folks don't listen to Fox News is because it has exhausted its credibility. There's no moral equivalency here.

And no, I'm not a shill for liberal media. If you had given the example of a credible conservative outlet like the Wall Street Journal, you'd probably have had little push back from me.
