Happy Birthday President Nelson!
As many of you know President Nelson is turning 101. What an amazing life he has lived and what an impact he has had on the church. Here is a nice encapsulation of his life and accomplishments:

The big ones that come to mind are demonizing the term Mormon and building way more temples than the members could ever possibly utilize.

Let us also recognize his great similarities to Paul H Dunn. His embellishments include the great death spiral. The misfiring of a gun in Mozambique. The lady in a hat.

He also authorised a deceitful, complex system of shell companies to avoid declaring the size of the Church’s wealth to the SEC and the membership. I know he got caught in the end, but at least he tried.MG 2.0 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 09, 2025 7:28 pmAs many of you know President Nelson is turning 101. He also holds the record for the fastest revelation reversal. Most Prophets only throw their predecessors revelations under the bus. Nelson had the backbone to throw his own revelation under the house within a few short months.
It’s a shame that these, his tall tales, and a ridiculous obsession with announcing more temples than anyone else, will be what he’s remembered for.

Premise 2. The best evidence for the Book of Mormon is eyewitness testimony.
Conclusion. Therefore, the best evidence for the Book of Mormon is notoriously unreliable.

Who, specifically, has he brokered a peace with?To commemorate President Russell M. Nelson’s 101st birthday, Faith Matters brought together prominent journalists and activists for a conversation in Washington D.C. about his legacy as a peacemaker and how Latter-day Saints can continue his work.

Fibber,
I will join you in your celebration of Rusty's birthday. However, your list omits some of his most significant contributions and notable events. To ensure a comprehensive overview, it is important to include the following:
- Policy Reversal on Children of Gay Parents: Rusty received a revelation in 2015 regarding children of gay parents, which was subsequently revoked by a new revelation in 2019.
- The term Mormon is a Victory for Satan: Reversing 200 years of using the term Mormon, Rusty directed members and the public to cease using the term Mormon when referring to the church and its members, and that using the term Mormon is now a major victory for Satan.
- The 2018 Media Fast: In October 2018, Rusty called for a 10-day social media fast for the church. This call just happened to coincide with substantial news reports/coverage of a lawsuit against his daughter concerning allegations of child abuse and cover-ups dating back to the 1980s.

Happy Birthday to President Nelson!
I hope he has many more.
Whether one is a fan of his or not, I hope we all can agree that his greatest accomplishment is keeping Oaks from taking over the church for 7 years so far.
