I think I’ll tuck this here since the PBs are really just an extension, in some fashion, of the Qanon cult, and Trump-worship:

I'll just add a bit to what others have said, as they've already given you some broad strokes.
Q was likely started as a troll that quickly took on a life of its own, and was (again, likely) hijacked by another party when 4chan had enough of the attention the [explitive deleted] stirring it brought to the forum and booted it off. It then migrated to 8chan and 8kun run by Jim Watkins - an unremarkable, wealthy, alt-right lunatic.
When that happened, Jim and his son Ron (once again, likely) hijacked the method in which Q revealed themselves, this taking the mantle for themselves. The identity of Q is unconfirmed, but you can listen to the podcast QClearance that did some investigative work and makes a pretty convincing case for the identity, bit by all means find your own conclusions.
Q claims to be a person who represents a small, secretive organization comprised mostly of high-ranking military officials and a few civilians who are working behind the scenes to hold to account the political, social and business elites that have their own evil secret organization (usually referred to interchangeably as the Deep State or the cabal) that traffic children for their sexual desires, worship Satan and harvest a chemical called adrenochrome (yes, the compound derived from human adrenaline featured as a drug in the film Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas) from the bodies of children to feed on in some dark ritual to remain young.
Q posts (called Q Drops to the initiated) are basically cryptic conspiracies about mainstream political figures. The recipe, near as I can tell, is: 2 parts conspiracy theory, 1 part technical military-sounding jargon, 2 parts complete nonsense, and 1 part cold reading.
They don't make much sense, but they appeal to the conspiracy-minded who eat them up and scour them for any clues. This allows Q to not actually have to say very much at all. They can just post nonsense, and a bunch of conspiracy addicts come in and use numerology and divination to assign meaning to all the mundanity in the posts. They then post these "revelations" with long-winded explanations of the tenuous connections they've made between the disjointed ramblings and that seems to be good enough for the anons. It really appeals to conspiracy types because they can essentially wrap every existing conspiracy they know and love into this wonderful stew of every conspiracy every created. Illuminati, Bilderbergs, Pizzagate - it's all there!
Speaking of which, QAnon is the resultant cult that has sprung up from these posts. And when I say cult, I'm not being hyperbolic. Some of them are LARPers, but many are true believers. They think that Donald Trump was chosen by God to work with the military and carry out a grand plan to arrest and execute those involved in the cabal. In fact, there are claims that some of them have already been arrested and are awaiting execution. When they appear in public, the claim is that they are wearing special ankle monitors that track their movements, and much time is spent analyzing pictures of people like Nancy Pelosi to see if they can spot these monitors.
The cabal itself consists of a who's who derivative of every alt-right persona's enemy list, and reads like Alex Jones' last wet dream: The Clintons, the Biden's, Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, and famed right-wing Boogeyman George Soros. Recently, they've begun adding establishment Republicans into the frey when they've spoken out against Trump. Now you have your McConnells and you Romneys on the list as well.
The cult members, anons as they like to call themselves, believe that once all the Deep State folks are arrested, there will be a very large, very public information dump that the entire world will witness, and everyone will "wake up" and be forced to see the "truth". This is why The Space Force was necessary. They will facilitate this dissemination of "evidence" by taking control of all global satellites and telecommunications and beaming the information to everyone. You and I won't be able to ignore it, because once this all pops off, Trump and the military will declare martial law, and everyone will be forced to sit in their homes for days and watch this. Then, Trump will create a new American Government, complete with a new constitution and leadership (under him, of course) and we'll all live in New America or some [explitive deleted], and everything will be great and we'll all have puppies and ice cream once we're all reeducated and agree with their crazy worldview. This is called The Great Awakening.
In other words, Donald Trump and the military will save the world from all the bad people, create a new world order by turning the US into Nazi Germany with Trump as king, and force reeducation on the populace until we're all as brainwashed as the anons and they'll get the families back that they neglected and abused for months and years in service of Trump and this cult.
In terms of what will happen on inauguration day, they thought that this would be Great Awakening time. It was Trump's last chance to do something while he still had the power to do it. Some are trying to move the goalposts to new dates, saying that March 4th will now be the day because they had to let Biden actually take his seat at the White House after "stealing the election", because then he'll be guilty of the worst crimes. I mean, they already wanted him executed, so I'm not sure what more punishment you can assign him once he actually gets inaugurated. The goblins that live in my hair haven't explained it to me yet, so I can't help you parse the logic on that front.
Some of them believe that Biden will basically be president of DC, and Trump will rule America with a rusty iron fist.
Some are losing hope, or begging for answers from their savior, or just screaming angrily into cyberspace.
It's wild out there. I hope that... Well, it probably didn't help, but hopefully it at least answered your questions.
I recommend reading the follow-on responses.
Also, it’s no mistake blubberhead showed up this week. Now that his worldview essentially collapsed, again, he’s swinging for the fences hoping to rediscover his identity since his psyche doesn’t want to accept that he himself is solely responsible for his own mental health and a life that doesn’t feel like a failure.
