She probably knew that if she told the unvarnished truth, she would have been immediately fired by Trump and replaced by someone else even more deferential to Trump and willing to endorse any and all self-serving lies Trump told, however dangerous. She probably also knew that both she and her family would have been subject to death threats from Trump's idiot, sycophantic worshipers. I don't envy her position with relation to Trump.
No precept or claim is more suspect or more likely to be false than one that can only be supported by invoking the claim of Divine authority for it--no matter who or what claims such authority.
