Capitol Defendant Had ‘Foxmania’ argues his attorney

Post by Icarus »

You just can't make this stuff up. An attorney defending one of the insurrectionists, literally said his client suffered from watching too much FOX News!

A Capitol defendant who bought into former President Donald Trump’s lies about a stolen election came down with “Foxitus” and “Foxmania” after watching too much Fox News, his attorney told a court on Thursday.

Anthony Antonio’s attorney told a D.C. magistrate judge that after Antonio was laid off because of the coronavirus pandemic last year, he spent all his time living in a home with four other individuals who watched a lot of Fox News.

Foxitus...

That's perfect.

Smart defense. Foxmania sounds treatable with high doses of neuroleptic drugs. Trumpmania sounds like something painful that should be quarantined on Devil's Island to prevent mass insanity.

Perhaps a healthy dose of Pimozide in our drinking water might alleviate all sorts of issues.

So you are speculating that exclusive reliance on Fox News is a significant cause of Tourette's disorder? ;) I suppose that might explain some of what comes out of diehard Trumpists' mouths.
Pimozide is used to control motor or verbal tics (an uncontrollable need to repeat certain movements or sounds) caused by Tourette's disorder (condition characterized by motor or verbal tics). Pimozide should only be used to treat people who cannot take other medications or who have taken other medications without good results. Pimozide should only be used to treat severe tics that stop the person from learning, working, or performing daily activities.
No precept or claim is more suspect or more likely to be false than one that can only be supported by invoking the claim of Divine authority for it--no matter who or what claims such authority.

Foxmania: Think of it like comic books causing juvenile delinquency, except for adults. Old impressionable minds, instead of young ones. Both Fox and the defense lawyers are selling narratives to promote their own interests.

Fox News: We report. You decide. You obey.

I didn’t feel like starting a new thread on the January 6th insurrection so I’m just going to tuck this one here:

The Planning of an Insurrection.

How Trump supporters used TheDonald.win to plan to overturn the election through violence, force, and murder.
It has lots of screen caps and pictures so our Trumpist friends should be able to follow it logically.
