Thank you so much for your posts.
I am all way greatful when someone responds to my posts. I am allways sorry
it take me so long to get back.
I use one time line from the LDS Bible I bought in the 1970's before they
started removing the pre flood sections. There are a lot of time lines
Wikipedia has a few. I think if we use the time 1657 when Noah and his family leave
the ark and then use the oldest known continuous dates for civilizations we can get
a better temperal age of man. If we use the Hebrew calender it is 5771
I like to use Egyptian history because the time lines are unbroken for the greatest time.
If we use King Menes at 3050BCE then add 1657 for pre-flood, and we know
it should be longer but for ease of not knowing Menes to ("Egyptus") time we will not
count it. we get 4707 years BCE creation. We add 2011ACE we get 6718 years.
We are well into the Millennium. Now you can count all the judges and kings you
want but I like simple. The Egyptian timeline is much easyer to follow.
The Neho seems to be about as pleasent as his picture but I can't see how he figures
TIME
Yes, which is why I think we have at least a few decades and expect we have centuries.
I think you are mistaken. Most of the biblical time discrepancies come between Joseph of Egypt and the reighns of the kings. Most of it would be during the time of the Judges.
This is why I use a more reliable source of dates. Your Bible has to many "discrepancies". As well as your Book of Mormon and Abraham.
Do a little more research. The LDS faith does not believe in a rapture.
I am very aware the Mormons do not believe in a rapture. Perhaps they should.
It is easy to see that the rightous are gone and we are left with this world and
all these wicked people. Including me and you.
You weren't promised any peace.
How little you know.
BeefcalfWhen I was a kid, listening to church leaders way back when, we were told repeatedly that we were the very choicest spirits, saved to come to Earth in the last days, so we could be here to stand valiant at Christ's second coming.
I'm now in my mid 40's and MY children are getting old enough to have their own kids.
I'll bet lots of other folks here heard that same crap when they were kids.
You are correct. Including W. Woodruff He was told in his Pa blessing given by
Joseph Smith sr he would live to the coming of Christ. I have know many people who are now
dead who had the same promise.
Speaking of the JWs not getting it right. What has the Mormons gotten right ?
And last,
God does not have time. Only mortals have time.
Thanks
