I agree with Kevin. I used to tease staunch LDS on ZLMB that I'm now where FARMS will be in twenty years. I disbelieve GBH today. The half life of the Prophet's teachings is very short.

Just remember that you can only disbelieve a dead prophet, not the living one. 50 years from now, when GBH is dead, his "one earring" rule will be personal opinion, as will his "I don't know that we teach that" statement.
One change I have noticed taking place over the past few years is that some church leaders and members are acknowledging the genetic component in homosexuality. As a youth, we were taught that god would never put a womens spirit in a mans body, implying that gays are not born that way. That line of thinking placed the blame of "perverse choice" on the individual. This misconception also validated some aversion therapy methods such as shock treatment.
This topic may not exactly fit into a specific doctrine that has changed, but shows that much of the time it is science that provides "inspiration", rather than the priesthood.
I don't expect to see same-sex marriage in Utah within my lifetime. - Scott Lloyd, Oct 23 2013

Yep, President Kimball said that it was "blasphemous" to suggest that homosexuality was biological. If I recall correctly, Dallin Oaks acknowledged a couple of years ago that biology may play a role. Baby steps.

Utah Idaho Wyoming Nevada Arizona Montana Hawaii
Do you notice the parallels?
I am not saying that being a member of the Church encourages carpooling. But we are taught that the earth ours, and to treat it with respect.
Yes, I noticed the parallels. They are all western states.
So, you're gospel centered solution to get rid of smog in China is carpooling? Have you ever been to Shanghai, Beijing, or Guangzhou? 1.3 billion Mormons carpooling in China? That's alot of minivans and Suburbans.
by the way, most (by far) of the smog problem in China is caused by industry, not automobiles. How is the gospel going to solve that? Can you get specific, please?
