Sadly, there are some posters who crave attention so profoundly that the protests of others towards their vulgar behavior is gratifying. In that case, it probably is best to ignore them.

With that confirmation, I disrespectfully withdraw from the thread.

And with the final confirmation of the posts between this one and my last, I rest my case.

Study, that is.

Wow! Who would have thought that erstwhile independent-thinking humans could react in such a predictable and self-condemning episode of group think?

The Great and Spacious Trailer Park™ is, if nothing else, a textbook example of an ochlocracy.

Thank you.

Thank you all.

You think we are like a mob, try making equally insulting comments at MAD and then see the reactions.

That's what really bugs you, isn't it? You feel like an outsider...a watcher.

So you put us all down, and act like you're above it all.

You know what, Will? If you stopped the act, and were less spiteful, I think that you would be surprised at the reaction you would receive.

Now, don't get me wrong. There are some folks here who do get out of hand, and simply act like assholes to anyone who is LDS. For those who act that way, have at it. No holds barred.

What's objectionable to those of us who are key posters here is when someone like yourself comes in and attacks someone unprovoked. There's no need for it.

It doesn't bother me much that Will refers to this board as a trailer park. I've known so many wonderful folks who live or have lived in trailers, I suppose it just doesn't affect me a bit to be compared to them. Where people live doesn't determine their worth.

Will has adopted a persona for this board, and I didn't mind it so much until he got hateful with John.

There are a few folks on MDB whom I adore, care for greatly, and know on a personal level beyond the board. John Williams is one of those people. No one messes with him and stays on my good side.

And the level-headed CKSalmon: I value his opinion highly. He's right. Will's continued usage of "circle jerk" is vulgar. Not to mention over-used at this point. And Will's quoting of Chris on his sig line just tells me Will finds the justified criticism of his vulgarity funny.

Will has gotten on the bad side of folks for whom I care greatly. I cannot overlook that fact.

I wish Will would drop the routine, as I believe that's what we're seeing here. A routine. A very bad one.

Rest assured, I am an outsider.

So you put us all down, and act like you're above it all.

As you well-noted, I’m just a watcher. And I report what I see.

You know what, Will? If you stopped the act, and were less spiteful, I think that you would be surprised at the reaction you would receive.

Despite the quaint naïvété of your sincere, albeit misguided invitation, I assure you I’m quite certain that if I served notice of intent, I would be welcomed into the circle with open arms and hairy palms.

Forgive me if I choose to stay on the outside looking in.

What's objectionable … is when someone like yourself comes in and attacks someone unprovoked.

Ah, the nebulous prerequisite of provocation. Of course, one man’s provocation is another man’s prevarication.

There's no need for it.

Need, my dear, has nothing to do with it. Except in the sense to be understood by Porter Rockwell’s famous affirmation:

I never killed any man that didn’t need killin’.”

Hey Will, but you are also a proven liar as well. Are you prepared to explain to us why you feel it is necessary to lie in your apologetics?

Isn't your reputation as a joke and a liar the real reason you "choose to stay on the outside looking in"?

Everyone here knows you're not interested in truth, let alone telling it.

No, you aren't, Will. You are so much like the most objectionable among us that you reek with it, and you know it, and you hate it, so you attack anyone you feel might be vulnerable. The problem is... none of us is vulnerable. Those who don't care... don't care. And those who do simply pity you. We're the mirror, and you hate the man in the mirror who looks back at you, because you know in your heart you are not worthy of the priesthood you hold, and you seek to exercise it unrighteously, and those who you have hurt will stand in judgment of you in the end. You live in fear, and the shallowness of your bravado is so apparent, even the least discerning can see through you.

So you put us all down, and act like you're above it all.

As you well-noted, I’m just a watcher. And I report what I see.

No, you report what you'd like to see, what you wish you saw. That what you report has nothing to do with what is real about this place is simply not something you are capable of seeing, let alone reporting.

You know what, Will? If you stopped the act, and were less spiteful, I think that you would be surprised at the reaction you would receive.

Despite the quaint naïveté of your sincere, albeit misguided invitation, I assure you I’m quite certain that if I served notice of intent, I would be welcomed into the circle with open arms and hairy palms.

Actually, you wouldn't be welcomed at all. You'd have to prove your worth, and your sincerity, and we all know how hard it is for you to repent. Liz is a sweetie with a kind heart; the rest of us are not so forgiving.

Forgive me if I choose to stay on the outside looking in.

You don't have the moral stamina to be able to sustain the needed repentance, Will. We all know that, you included. The first step is to acknowledge that you made a mistake, a big mistake, a grave mistake, and we all know you can't do that. You prefer to live in your sin, because it's easier than admitting to your mistake.

What's objectionable … is when someone like yourself comes in and attacks someone unprovoked.

Ah, the nebulous prerequisite of provocation. Of course, one man’s provocation is another man’s prevarication.

Which, of course, is nothing more or less than what we've all come to expect from you: a lot of hot air.

There's no need for it.

Need, my dear, has nothing to do with it. Except in the sense to be understood by Porter Rockwell’s famous affirmation:

A group of men (and several women), figuratively in a circle, mocking God and their former brethren as they wantonly spill the seed of their intellect in alternating paroxysms of vanity and nihilistic resignation.

I will admit one thing. That if for some strange reason I were ever to stand in a circle with a bunch of other dudes, I'd definitely be laying hands on my own head, not someone elses.

I think mobile home parks are perfect for the LDS community. They usally have a community center which can be the ward building. You don't have to build anymore buildings just more community centers surrounded with mobile homes. You are not keeping up with the jones as nobody really need more than a double double with bunk beds. If your thing is moving up the lonely and spacious mountain then you need to look else where for a community.
