It is indeed a most interesting autograph, I replied, and doubtless the only one extant. What an ornament it would be to have these ancient manuscripts handsomely set, in appropriate frames, and hung up around the walls of the temple which you are about to erect at this place.
Yes, replied the Prophet, and the translation hung up with them.
Joseph Smith claimed the signature of father Abraham was on the very papyrus written by his own hand. Also, Abraham calls attention to himself asking his readers to look at him on the altar which is at the beginning of the record:
Abraham 1:12 wrote:And it came to pass that the priests laid violence upon me, that they might slay me also, as they did those virgins upon this altar; and that you may have a knowledge of this altar, I will refer you to the representation at the commencement of this record.
Joseph Smith gambled and lost. The world knows what this papyrus is all about -- it's a funerary spell paying homage to the Egyptian gods. Only a brainwashed member of a polygamous cult would deny these things.
Philo Sofee wrote:Excellent. I also included this in my paper which Zerinus of course, will not read and understand, but he certainly will automatically incorrectly label it. His desire to not learn the truth is incredible.
He's been wrong every step of the way during this debate. He even misspelled the official name of the church and then attempted to justify himself by citing historic D&C name references. I agree, zerinus couldn't possibly be Benjamin McQuire.

LOL! That makes two of us then. Have a nice day.
You're the laughing stalk on Mormon discussions. A buffoon. The class clown.
Hadn’t expected anything better.
Because you're a troll. You aren't an author or a thinker. Just a troll for a cult. Dumb, dumb, dumb. I love how your butt has been kicked all over these threads and you go on with your black knight routine. Because it's all you've got. And we all know it, including you. How pathetic.

Every record...falsified, every book rewritten...every statue...has been renamed or torn down, every date...altered...the process is continuing...minute by minute. History has stopped. Nothing exists except an endless present in which the Ideology is always right.

I love how the dumb Holy Ghost is certifying to his prophet - to include the First Presidency and the Quorum of the Twelve that these documents are worthy AUTOGRAPHS and that sacred church funds are used to purchase them. Would-be murderer (Mark Hoffman) is laughing to himself as he fools the prophet.

This inscription is a typical invocation ascribing greatness and honor to the gods of Egypt. It does NOT ascribe veneration or honor to Abraham or Jehovah. Joseph Smith lied about everything he ever said about the papyrus of Facsimile No. 3. Mormons today continue to share in those lies. It is dishonorable and downright sinister.
I predict the day will come when it will become intolerable for the church to continue to print these lies in their canon. Watch them disappear without a trace.
I find this on the net with a quick search before I go eat dinner - "Isis was a protective goddess. She used powerful magic spells to help people in need. Isis was the wife of Osiris and the mother of Horus. Since each pharaoh was considered the 'living Horus', Isis was very important."
It makes perfect sense she is in facsimile 3, not as a man, but as the womanly goddess that she obviously was according to all the ancient Egyptian mythology, a mythology Joseph Smith did not tap into, inspiration or not. Joseph simply missed it by miles in his interpretations in the facsimiles.
