"and when someone says that BYU is not part of the indoctrination that occurs within Mormonism for the vast majority of those who attend BYU, who do they think they are kidding? Here is a link for the word "seminary": http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seminary
BYU is a seminary (for a "lay" priesthood), specifically adapted for the training of the Mormon "lay" clergy and those (like Mormon women at BYU) who submit to the authority of The Mormon Priesthood.
Byron, BYU has solid academic rankings--well above average. It's ranked 113th overall in the nation by US News and World Report. Eighteen required hours in religion does not a seminary make.

It's okay to be wrong, Byron. It's significantly less okay to be so gratuitously and grandiosely wrong about something so simple, after you've been informed of the contrary.
I quoted the part of your post demonstrative of the fact that you are full of hot air and not much else.

I would explain it to you again, but it is apparent that you are one of those for whom the adage: "None are so blind as those who will not see" applies. As for your friends who admire BYU, here is a little suggested reading:
It applies to Mormonism equally as it does to other forms of theism. I don't believe that anyone would go to BYU, as a student, teacher or staff, who has an ounce of self respect.
Ah yes, D'Holbach. The Good old anti-democratic French Enlightenment fellow who encourages vice as long as it makes us happy.
