Dr. DCP Discusses Dr. Scratch on the MAD Board

For the record--and as an explicit response to the continuing lies being perpetrated by the denizens of the bastion of "truth" affectionately known as the Great and Spacious Trailer Park--I have only posted there using two monikers: "William Schryver" (which I used until I disabled it when Dan Peterson and I first vowed to leave that place) and "Will Schryver" (under which name I registered after Dan started posting there again, and I yielded to the temptation to join him). Just a few days after Dan deleted his account, I then disabled my "Will Schryver" account and vowed, with Dan, to never again yield to the temptation to return in order to address their multiplicity of lies and misrepresentations.

As is the case with Dan (as far as I know), all of the posts I have ever made there are stamped with my own in real life identity--unlike the overwhelming majority of the anonymous posters there who do not have the courage to do so.

It will be interesting to see how long they will continue to attack us notwithstanding the fact that we refuse to participate there any more. They are a mob whose thirst for blood (metaphorically speaking) cannot be satiated.

He's in hardcore troll mode now, complete with an almost sexualized persecution fantasy and crocodile tears. :D

Turns out he's the biggest liar of us all (of course, this is no surprise. Few LDS have been more full of crap than that guy).

Why should DCP have any say whatsoever about Scratch's sig, which quotes Will, not DCP?

Well that's as obvious as the nose on your face, Buffalo. The quote, if taken from its context of being a joke, puts DCP in a bad light. Why wouldn't DCP have the right to say something about it seeing as people see the quote on a daily basis?

It was part of an ongoing joke that DCP started. If DCP objects to Scratch quoting Will about it, it seems to me that DCP should be upset at himself for starting such a joke in a public forum.

Should DCP also be mad at Shades? After all, even without Scratch, the quote is still preserved here in the forum.

I realize the connection and all, but that just makes it all the more troublesome to me. Why use a quote from ol' Wheat, or Will if you are so adamant about that, which alludes to a joke made by Peterson and leave it sans context? IT WAS A JOKE. No one is going to shoot Scratch.

Second, I'm not upset about what was said, hell, I wasn't even posting on this board or aware of this feud up until last Christmas. I'll admit, my respect for Dan as a source of truthful information and integrity has waned; in no way does that mean that any of this bothers me.

And third, perhaps most importantly - if this is a joke, and meant to be funny, why all the wrist-wringing? I mean, I love reading funny stuff! Why not just let it ride? Sure, it's three years old, but hell, if it's funny, it's funny. So I really don't get why all the fuss over a joke that Dan admitted was grist for Scratch's mill.

In Stemelbow's world if someone jokes about killing you, you are required to get their permission to use their joke as a quote. But he doesn't have any kind of mental problems, oh no. He's a normal and well adjusted member of society.

Hey, don't call on me. I've tried to explicate common rhetorical tropes and conventional sentences for that person before. You can't teach a student who sticks his fingers in his ears and yells "pep pep."
