Just a few days after Dan deleted his account, I then disabled my "Will Schryver" account and vowed, with Dan, to never again yield to the temptation to return in order to address their multiplicity of lies and misrepresentations.

As is the case with Dan (as far as I know), all of the posts I have ever made there are stamped with my own in real life identity--unlike the overwhelming majority of the anonymous posters there who do not have the courage to do so.

It will be interesting to see how long they will continue to attack us notwithstanding the fact that we refuse to participate there any more. They are a mob whose thirst for blood (metaphorically speaking) cannot be satiated.

He's in hardcore troll mode now, complete with an almost sexualized persecution fantasy and crocodile tears. :D

I love how he specifies that his post is "an explicit response to the continuing lies being perpetrated" here and then goes on to say that he long ago vowed to leave this place. How would he know about the lies if he left?

Turns out he's the biggest liar of us all (of course, this is no surprise. Few LDS have been more full of crap than that guy).

Good question, stem. Why do you care?

Well that's as obvious as the nose on your face, Buffalo. The quote, if taken from its context of being a joke, puts DCP in a bad light. Why wouldn't DCP have the right to say something about it seeing as people see the quote on a daily basis?

It was part of an ongoing joke that DCP started. If DCP objects to Scratch quoting Will about it, it seems to me that DCP should be upset at himself for starting such a joke in a public forum.

Should DCP also be mad at Shades? After all, even without Scratch, the quote is still preserved here in the forum.

How is that supposed to be for my reading pleasure? Three years ago DCP made some uncomely joke and these three years later you're still upset about the joke? Who cares? I realize the connection and all, but that just makes it all the more troublesome to me. Why use a quote from ol' Wheat, or Will if you are so adamant about that, which alludes to a joke made by Peterson and leave it sans context? IT WAS A JOKE. No one is going to shoot Scratch.

Well, first, when someone says, "For your reading pleasure", it's a colloquialism, a pleasantry; the words are not necessary literal... ugh! BLIXA! I can't figure out how to explain this!

Second, I'm not upset about what was said, hell, I wasn't even posting on this board or aware of this feud up until last Christmas. I'll admit, my respect for Dan as a source of truthful information and integrity has waned; in no way does that mean that any of this bothers me.

And third, perhaps most importantly - if this is a joke, and meant to be funny, why all the wrist-wringing? I mean, I love reading funny stuff! Why not just let it ride? Sure, it's three years old, but hell, if it's funny, it's funny. So I really don't get why all the fuss over a joke that Dan admitted was grist for Scratch's mill.

I honestly do not even know what you're talking about in your responses to me or about me in this thread. I did not suggest anything you keep attributing to me.

Ok, so apprently you are unable to take part in a discussion unless someone holds your hand and explains not only what they mean, but also what YOU mean. Damn you're stupid.

Hey, don't call on me. I've tried to explicate common rhetorical tropes and conventional sentences for that person before. You can't teach a student who sticks his fingers in his ears and yells "pep pep."

I see that your guilty conscience at last got the best of you, stemelbow, and that you've chosen the path of repentance. Remember, though: repentance does not count if you sin again in this vein--you have to make an honest-to-goodness effort in all of this.

Regardless, I very much enjoyed watching you get your butt kicked.
