You are misrepresenting Mormonism to curry favor with apostates in hopes of converting them.
And your “reasoning” to get there is exhausting.

OK. You’re living in crazy town. When I read this type of total misperception/tripe it doesn’t surprise me when folks such as yourself may also get other stuff wrong along the way. Important stuff. And then you speak as though you have the authority to pronounce the final word. Give me a break.consiglieri wrote: ↑Wed Sep 15, 2021 12:36 amYou are misrepresenting Mormonism to curry favor with apostates in hopes of converting them.
And don’t take what I’m saying personally. It’s just that I’m saddened that so many people come to your RFM podcast expecting the truth and may be getting a partial misrepresentation of the facts.
Who in the heck are YOU to tell me that I’m misrepresenting Mormonism? Anyway, ranting is done.
Well, I do tend to think about things a lot. And I’ve had many years to do so. As sure as the sun shines I haven’t jumped to any hasty conclusions as you did in your opening line of your post.
Convert you or others here? Are you freaking kidding me?
Regards,
MG

When the RFM speaks, the thinking has been done. I bear my testimony that what RFM says is true. That Bill Reel is true. That Mormonism Live is what it claims to be. I know we have a living prophet on the earth, even the man Radio F Mormon. I love that man. He cares about each of us, deeply. And he prays for us.
In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Those fires have invariably come from a disgruntled young member of the ward. I would blame it on not having enough Young & Dumb dances in at-risk stakes.

We don’t believe that or teach it. I certainly do not. If I weren’t Mormon, I’d be Catholic.

Re: Kwaku on the Offensive Against Radio Free Mormon!
Household of faith? I'm in my mid 40s and as a Mormon I've never considered Christians or Catholics part of my "household". Infact, quite the opposite, especially Catholics. As a Boy Scout while at summer camp we took great pride in beating the living crap out of the Methodist and Baptist troops in competitions. To us they were apostates. There was a Presbyterian preacher who handed out anti Mormon flyers to his congregation that explained what Bible verses to use when confronting Mormons. As Mormon teenagers, we poured grass killer on his lawn and spelled out "Devil". Another time we went into the crawl space of his house and put dead fish in the air ducts. We would toilet paper the house of anyone who spoke out against Mormonism and felt justified in doing so. As Mormon young men, we took pride in being modern day danites. Basically, deep down, I think the overwhelming majority of Mormons believe that "Christians" aren't actually "real" christians because the Christ they follow isn't a true representation of the living Christ. Mg2.0, are you saying that Mormons don't believe Christianity is an apostate version of the true gospel? I bet kwaku does.MG 2.0 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 14, 2021 9:05 pmHi ceeboo, thanks for your response. I suppose that at this juncture we will need to agree to disagree on a number of points and remain fellow citizens in the household of faith. I respect your right to have views in regards to the CofJCofLDS that differ from mine.ceeboo wrote: ↑Tue Sep 14, 2021 8:50 pmHey MG
No problem - And I appreciate that your disagreement is marinated with respect.
I never said that the Gospel of Jesus Christ puts a person in bondage - I said that religions, especially organized religions, put people in bondage (Some more than others)
My intention wasn't (an still isn't) to diss the personal beliefs of anyone. My intent was to express my very strong opinion about how organized religions, and people being bound in chains, very often go hand in hand - (Mormonism certainly included)
You would be wrong with your expectation. I would encourage folks that find themselves bound, trapped, controlled, pressured, stressed out, forced into impossible situations, manipulated, taken advantage of and exhausted by any organized religion (again, Mormonism certainly included) to seek a path out - and to be set free of the horrific chains that they have been placed in by their "religious leaders" for generations and generations.
I would guess that there are many Mormons who would fit this description (Awesome, in my opinion) but I wasn't speaking about "members of the LDS church" - I was specifically and purposely speaking about the LDS church (Mormonism)
Handcuffs? Without question - No doubt about it - Full stop.

MG
