Since DCP put out a Happy Holidays wish to the atheists on the board, I thought I would follow up and wish everyone here a Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays!!!

Seasons Greetings, my dysfuntional Internet family. I hope you all have a great Holiday week!

I had a conversation with Jesus, I'd like to share. Before sharing this short conversation please believe me, I'm not
a bitter guy, I have everything I wish; a healthy family, OK kids, often, more money than can spend.

Merry Christmas Jesus! -You are a Jerk.
-What did you say? John 3:16?????
-You a**h*le, where are you now? with your Sky-Daddy?
Big f**king deal, you were nailed for three fricckin days while my ancestor's bellies ripped
and live fetuses fed to the dogs in your name. My grandmother poisoned her 5yr old son, sisters,
not wanting fall into hands of murderous, rapist men.
So, this Jesus-jerk sacrificed himself for three days, where is he now?
Sign me up for a deal like that!

Remember Liz,
You already said we are somewhat dysfunctional, if this sounds like it
we already know who we are.....
Merry Christmas to you all....

Solo.... I can't imagine what you would say if you were bitter? Please save it for another day.

Liz thanks for the good wishes, I appreciate it.

Thanks Liz. Tomorrow I'm planning to honor this most secular and commercial of holidays by playing hours of Playstation with my kids and sharing rum-spiked eggnog with my wife. For dinner we are planning on Chinese takeout. Merry Christmas to all!

Merry Christmas Eve, liz and Pokie and solo and Dude!

My most memorable Christmas Eve story:

When my oldest boys were 6, 8, and 10, they were football crazy. So for their Santa present that year, I ordered 3 sets of play helmet and pads from Sears. The box was delivered a week before Christmas, but I didn't open it up. I put the box in the storeroom and went about my business. Midafternoon on Christmas Eve, I decided to sneak out and open it up and get it unpacked, so it wouldn't take long to set up the Santa presents after the kids had gone to bed.

SHOCK! There were only 2 sets! Instant panic! I consulted with Sweet Pickle and he said to start calling around the stores to see if anyone had another set. I sat on the phone for half an hour before I found a toy store that was 1) open and 2) had a set. They were closing (it was 4 o'clock by then), but the owner offered to take it home with him and we could pick it up at his house. We drove like maniacs the 45 miles to his house, gave him the check (that set cost what the other 2 had together but we didn't care), and took our box home.

So with a little help from the Santa-helper store owner, all 3 boys got their football gear for play in.

Anyone else have a Christmas Eve story?
(Nevo, Jan 23) And the Melchizedek Priesthood may not have been restored until the summer of 1830, several months after the organization of the Church.

I haven't been able to find the right mix yet (how much rum vs. eggnog). Do you have a suggestion?

I was expecting the story would go that one of the boys got into the package took a set out and carefully wrapped it back up and then was caught playing with it and you finally ended up with 4 sets. I was that kind of boy.

Not Christmas related but I was left home alone at about 9 or 10 years old and I took my mother's cuckoo clock apart because I wanted see where that bird lived. I got into trouble big time. It never did work right after that.

Harmony, thanx for the story.

Christmas is the crap.

I just finished up a Christmas Eve lunch with my girls and a friend of theirs. Honey glazed ham. Mash potatoes. Green beans on the side. A little wine for me. Ice cream for them. Too awesome.

We have xmas lights all over my living room. The tree is beautiful. The presents are many.

Life is the best it has ever been. Love it. Merry Christmas you guys, too. Too awesome.

Oh, and I WILL be gettin' my proper egg nog on later... Believe you me...
