Unfortunately I closed the tab and disqus is so incredibly tedious to search. I just thought it was amusing that they think Dan doesn't know who you are, when it's Dr Scratch that really grinds his gears for staying anonymous all these years

Midgley's comment on Peterson's Deception Board would be a treasure trove for understanding his persona. Especially those revolving around Gina Colvin. There needs to be a chapter devoted to the adventures of Midgley Down Under.

I wouldn't want to try and define it and therefore, in some way influence it. There had been suggestions to follow certain other biographer leads, and I think you should go your own path. I will only say that I don't think that you will pander to please the posters on this board as Dan thinks.Uh-oh. . . what is my "trademark style?"

I'm not convinced Dan thinks Dr. Shades will pander to anyone. I think the reason Dan is trying to discourage Midgley's biography is that Midgley is an a**hole and by publishing his biography, this fact will now be known to a much larger audience.

Sorry, I meant to write comments. Midgley made many comments. I think he said "boot him" and "crucify the apostate" a lot or something like that.

This one is one of my favorites
Philip:
Please send me this rubbish. And especially anything by Gina Colvin. I am writing an essay in which I may, for very good reasons, trash her. She deserves a good trashing. You can go to my page on Interpreter and there you will find my email address. Well, at least I can find it there.

That's exactly right. The goal of the biography will be to tell the entire tale, good as well as bad, and allow the reader to draw his or her own conclusions. I myself will be strictly objective.
Ha! That's hilarious if true.Everybody Wang Chung wrote: ↑Tue Sep 03, 2024 11:55 pmI'm not convinced Dan thinks Dr. Shades will pander to anyone. Anyway, a little over two weeks ago I wrote a letter to Dr. Midgley, politely informing him that it would be my honor to write his biography and requesting an interview. I included all of my contact information, but I still haven't heard back from him.
Should I assume that my letter simply got lost in the pile of correspondence on his coffee table and go knock on his door directly? Or would this be a boundary violation?
