I hope you will consider a mention of Peterson’s extreme bad faith — indeed, fraudulent — acceptance of thousands of dollars donated to Interpreter by me in exchange for his “good word” to cease trash talking this board, and to censor his guests accordingly. The exchange of funds and his written commitment was documented extensively, both here and at SeN. He stomped his feet for months, insisting he “keeps his word” and pretended to encourage his guests to comply with the long-term commitment, even as we produced link after link proving that he in fact lied about complying with his end of the deal, starting within weeks of having made it. His guests continued to say whatever they want about this board and its contributors, despite numerous reminders from me and even a few half-assed reminders from him. Daniel’s near immediate and ongoing violation of our deal demonstrates that he is a liar whose word means nothing. If desired, I am happy to resurrect dozens of relevant links from this board and at his blog.

Although I have moved on from caring about DCP and am at best an occasional contributor here these days, I think any documentary analysis of Peterson and his obsession with the notion of an “obsession board” should include the fact that he alone is the creator, muse and weirdly obsessed curator of the very debates that form the backbone of his “obsession board.”

I am convinced that he is addicted to the act of transforming self-loathing into vain delusions.

Yes, Dr Moore, there is a lot that could be said about these things. I did not get into them in this short piece, but future installments on the history of this board will provide ample opportunity to revisit details that should not fall into oblivion.

Do you talk about how people like to create devils to mock in order to gain notoriety? People love a good fight and point counterpoint or saint v. devil works well in all sorts of places. DCP seems to have taken note early on, trying to create devils out of those that disagreed with his positions, thereby elevating him to his apologetic position.

It’s hard to ignore the promotional value of claiming you have irrational, hateful enemies.

I enjoyed listening to this while sipping coffee as well. I wonder if all criticism of DCP stopped over here, would he come over and create some? I think he relishes being able to claim his name is known for good and evil, just like a certain person claimed in the past. Why else talk about this supposed malevolent stalker and yet never do anything about it, never attempt to discover this person? Is this supposed stalker even real?

I get that there are other sides to him. I know some of Bill Hamblin's relatives and they liked DCP and said he was a jovial sort of guy and fun to be around. However, DCP does like playing the victim and seems to like the power it gives him with his followers.
