Goddamn Republicans are just so brazen about it now.

I think there's fourth. Trump quits in a huff, in exchange from a Pence pardon.
How would that help him with SDNY? Am I out of my mind? Wait. Like. I don't know what I'm talking about anymore. The chaos making is taking it's toll.

That was scheduled to be heard by a notorious Trump-appointed judge.

ETA: Not a Trump judge. A notoriously conservative GWB-appointed judge. The case was thrown out on lack of standing, not on the merits. Also, the judge said that, even if he had ruled in favor of the plaintiffs, he would not have thrown out votes already cast. He would have simply ordered the sites to close down.

No, you’re on the right track. Generally, whether a presidential pardon will apply to state-law based claims is not straightforward. I have a vague recollection that NY would need to pass a law to prevent a presidential pardon from protecting state-law claims. I don’t recall whether that was done.

SDNY is a federal court and so would not have jurisdiction over state law claims, especially if all federal claims had been pardoned. So it’s the NY state courts he’d have to worry about.

I hope Trump's pardons to his criminal staff and cabinet do not hold up.

Contemplatively speaking, I have never been more concerned about an election outcome in my entire life and trust me, I've seen a ton. We have an obvious criminally minded malignant narcissist in the White House who if he loses is going to stir up crap for the next three months and even if he is escorted or leaves peacefully from the White House, I am sure he is going to rave his ass off for the rest of his life.

I fully expect that we're going to see the mother of all crap shows. I expect violence and chaos. Sleazy Don is already inciting it in real time.

I think we're about to see how a narcissist responds to failure, the loss of his adoration, his narcissistic supply. He won't think twice about burning the house down as he discards this country in total. Keep in mind that his #1 concern is himself. He's almost definitely facing several indictments or as one reporter put it, "He's a walking indictment", and he's smart enough to know that his own ass is on the line.

I've followed the stories of many a real life narcissist murderer. When their back is up against the wall, they tend to lose their crap and kill. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see the POSOTUS (not a typo) torch the entire country with violence through his surrogates--his flying monkeys.

I guess I have nothing more to say about this right now. I'm watching and waiting from out in the sticks. Never been so thankful to live here. Well maybe once during personal crisis. This time it's national.

Gun magazines with Trump's name embossed on them. Swear to God.
