No, you’re on the right track. Generally, whether a presidential pardon will apply to state-law based claims is not straightforward. I have a vague recollection that NY would need to pass a law to prevent a presidential pardon from protecting state-law claims. I think we're about to see how a narcissist responds to failure, the loss of his adoration, his narcissistic supply. He won't think twice about burning the house down as he discards this country in total. Keep in mind that his #1 concern is himself. He's almost definitely facing several indictments or as one reporter put it, "He's a walking indictment", and he's smart enough to know that his own ass is on the line.
I've followed the stories of many a real life narcissist murderer. When their back is up against the wall, they tend to lose their crap and kill. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see the POSOTUS (not a typo) torch the entire country with violence through his surrogates--his flying monkeys.
I guess I have nothing more to say about this right now. I'm watching and waiting from out in the sticks. Never been so thankful to live here. Well maybe once during personal crisis. This time it's national.
