After he started this thread, things have calmed down tremendously. Basically, we've talked it out on our own and he's the one who let us do that. What we are asking for is a restoration of the mod team that this board has always had. This isn't a new concept. It's not a new proposal. It's reestablishing the community NORMS.
I don't need lessons from you or anyone else about the way Shades handles things. Trust me, I don't. I know what he does. I know why he does it. I've got well over 15 years watching him work. Lessons aren't needed.

Just to emphasize, being without a moderator or moderators is an aberration for this board. People are simply asking for a return to normalcy. If it doesn't happen, the next meltdown is just around the corner.

Exactly so. This board has been online for more than 15 years. It's been equipped with a mod team from the start and was still equipped with a scaled down mod team until we migrated to this new board after the previous board became totally FUBAR.

The need for and call for mods has already been established. The OP of the thread you are now commenting on represents an understanding with agreement. It's an if/then contract. The agreement is the ONLY issue this thread was ever attended to discuss.

Frankly, based on what I know of EA, I would bet on death as opposed to abandonment. Is there anyone who has any information about what happened?
