. It appears that Trump’s promise to make housing more affordable has been tossed aside, in favor of making houses less affordable.
Democrats knock Trump’s pledge to ‘drive housing prices up’

Democratic lawmakers on Thursday slammed President Trump over comments he made about wanting to “drive housing prices up” for people who own their homes, with one congresswoman telling followers that he “doesn’t care about making your life more affordable.”
During a Cabinet meeting earlier Thursday, the president said he wants to keep homeowners “wealthy.”
“We’re not going to destroy the value of their homes so that somebody that didn’t work very hard can buy a home,” he said. “I don’t want to drive housing prices down. I want to drive housing prices up for people who own their homes. And they can be assured that’s what’s going to happen.”
Several Democrats in both the House and Senate clapped back at the president.
“Are you trying to buy your first home? Trump wants your prices to go up,” Sen. Tammy Duckworth (D-Ill.) wrote on the social platform X. “But sure Donald, keep saying affordability is a hoax.”
Rep. Jason Crow (D-Colo.), who previously clashed with the president over his appearance in a video in which he and other lawmakers told members of the military they can refuse illegal orders, also criticized Trump’s remarks on X.
“Millions of hardworking folks can’t afford to buy—and the President’s tariffs are making it even more expensive,” Crow wrote.
Rep. Suzan DelBene (D-Wash.) added in her own post, “Millions of families are struggling to afford a roof over their heads & Trump’s response is to increase the price of housing. He doesn’t care about making your life more affordable.”
Housing prices have spiked recently, outpacing overall inflation. The median sale price of a home in December was $429,000, up by more than 28 percent relative to December 2020, according to data compiled by Redfin.

It is quite clear from that material that Trump was an enthusiastic participant in what the text calls 'orgies' involving young women.
The post linked is said to have been 'posted and quickly taken down'. But posted where, please?

But ... but ... that can't be true, because the DoJ said clearly that they had not done anything to protect President Trump!

The material posted should certainly have been publicly released. It had undergone redaction sufficient to remove the names of any victims, and the law provided that all the Epstein material should be released. It was not a leak.
What is concerning is that fact that it was allegedly taken down after being posted. If that was done, it looks like some one in the DoJ is trying to shield Trump, or else the White House is exercising illegitimate pressure on the DoJ.
By the way, isn't it an interesting coincidence that this release should happen just as Trump's attack on Iran is about to launch?

One of the documents getting the most attention online is an email from 2020 that includes uncorroborated tips about Trump’s own alleged involvement with Epstein’s victims that were made to the FBI’s National Threat Operations Center.
The document, which was briefly inaccessible after it was posted, has been described as “incriminating Trump” by some critics, but the justice department provided a statement to the Guardian calling these uncorroborated tips “fake”.
Here is the justice department statement to the Guardian:
“This production may include fake or falsely submitted images, documents or videos, as everything that was sent to the FBI by the public was included in the production that is responsive to the Act. Some of the documents contain untrue and sensationalist claims against President Trump that were submitted to the FBI right before the 2020 election. To be clear, the claims are unfounded and false, and if they have a shred of credibility, they certainly would have been weaponized against President Trump already.”
It is impossible to verify, from the partially redacted document, if one element of the justice department statement is true. The document is a series of emails with what appear to be screenshots from another document, rounding up what someone in the FBI refers to as “Trump accusers”. Those emails were sent in August 2020, three months before that year’s election that Trump went on to lose. But the names of the accusers, and any information about when the tips were called in to the FBI, is not included in what was made public, so we have no way of knowing when the accusations were made.
Sounds like the material was taken down and then restored.
