What's included in the VIP packages?
You get let into the venue 30 minutes before non-VIP ticket holders, you get a meet-and-greet with the band members after the show, you get a photo taken of you surrounded by all the band members (then the photo is given to you), and you get some exclusive merchandise, which I think is a T-shirt and maybe one or two other things.
That's fan-tastic! ;) I'd say that's well worth the cost of the upgrade. Does Perfume have an offer like that?
Wanna talk cheap? The first Stones concert I went to was $5.00 for a ticket.
That's great, but although I'm positive it doesn't equal $471 in 2024 dollars, what does the inflation calculator say that $5.00 was worth in 2024 dollars?

Inflation Calculator

Plus, were you closer to the stage at that first one?
Closer to the stage? Nope. It was long before they started playing stadiums in Asbury Park Convention Hall. I'll post a short video of the exact concert on my Hackney Diamonds thread. We were close enough to see the band and what they were wearing.

I didn't do the math. You do it for me.

Wait. I used the calculator. $5.00 then equals $48.47 now.

No, sadly. The last time they did that was during their world tour in 2013--eleven years ago.

If it was before they started playing stadiums, I'm surprised you weren't closer to the stage back then.
Wait. I used the calculator. $5.00 then equals $48.47 now.
Okay, so nearly 10 times cheaper back then. Wow.

Huey Lewis of Huey Lewis and the News turned 74 years old today. I love this classic summer song by them from 40 years ago. If This Is It

Love that! If I am not mistaken he's still touring? I think he had hearing loss, too.
