I fully support the present censorship. But do continue with your fallacious reasoning that a --> b = b ---> a.
Kewl to know your position on free speech.
You also down with interment camps? Maybe Cuomo can use your insights on how to deal with dissenters.
Seek freedom and become captive of your desires...seek discipline and find your liberty

A brief study of history reveals that what Pelosi and Democrats are currently doing is tantamount to the Reichstag Fire Decree.
...
"The decree nullified many of the key civil liberties of German citizens. With Nazis in powerful positions in the German government, the decree was used as the legal basis for the imprisonment of anyone considered to be opponents of the Nazis, and to suppress publications not considered "friendly" to the Nazi cause. The decree is considered by historians as one of the key steps in the establishment of a one-party Nazi state in Germany."
...
Pelosi is in full frantic mode (as if her leptop is missing), more so than can be explained by her alcoholism.
Did you think up this BS comparison all by yourself?
what a brilliant rebuttal! no way to refute your well reasoned post...whew, your intellect is so impressive i can't imagine why you're not prominent at anything.

This is why impeachment is actually so important this time around. Google sez the Nazis staged their first coup in 1923, which was eerily similar to this one, right down to actual officials in the party participating in it. Their “revolution” fizzled out in a few hours. Phew, right?

Except the Nazis rose to power ten years later.

If Trump isn’t dq’d from running again, he’ll probably run in 2024 and could very well win by having ten years of unfettered Limbaugh’ing on all sorts of platforms. The Nazis didn’t let a failed coup get them down, and if we extend any tolerance to Trump or his supporters, we’ll give them the tools they need to rise to power again.

Complete rejection and disdain is all anyone should be giving these people. Hence why I’m png’ing anyone who supported the insurrection or seditious lies that led up to it. They’re no longer a fellow citizen to me, but a partisan/5th columnist seeking my country’s dissolution.

I believe this is true only if the Senate convicts first. That requires 2/3.
Trump could commit his hypothetical murder and threaten to launch nuclear missiles the next day and Senate Republicans (except for Romney) would still not vote against him. He and his worshippers are like time bombs.
It is probably true that even now a 2/3 majority for conviction would be unlikely, but I'm sure it is no longer true that Romney would be the only Republican Senator willing to vote for conviction. There is a better than even chance that Ben Sasse of Nebraska, at least, would join Mitt Romney on that. I would not be surprised if Utah's other Senator, Mike Lee, would also be willing to convict Trump, along with Lisa Murkowski of Alaska (who is even considering leaving the GOP altogether), Tom Cotton of Arkansas, and, perhaps, even Susan Collins of Maine, who surely must feel humiliated by the failure of her prediction that Trump must surely have learned a lesson by his last impeachment, and would behave better from then on because of it.
No precept or claim is more suspect or more likely to be false than one that can only be supported by invoking the claim of Divine authority for it--no matter who or what claims such authority.

This is a very real, scary possibility. I think we are probably in a lot of trouble in the future. While everyone now is coming down against Trump, the future looks like a bumpy road that includes the fallout of having spent like the bill would never come due while Trump was President and then having to deal with the pandemic/economic collapse of the last year. It will likely include a rift on the left as people fight over going as far as possible vs trying to restore some form of normalcy. It is not inconceivable to me that we see the Don show back up in 2024 riding an anti-left wave and claims life was so much better when he was President. Or if not Trump then Cruz or some other next gen, more politically astute version.

The Republican party did weaponized their base believing it wouldn't ever come to this only to see Trump take it to it's most extreme conclusion. Yet for all the hand wringing on Thursday they also haven't tried to actually diffuse the root problem. It's still partisan as ever. It's concerning and likely to get worse not better.
