After being shocked by the Phial of Galadriel and wounded with the ancient Elvish dagger "sting", Shelob slunk back into the darkened crevices of Mar-a-Lago.

Congratulations, the Russian menace is finally out of the White House. It was nip and tuck there for a while, but it finally came to fruition. Perhaps we can have a rational conversation now? Realistically, how many do you think support or believe in the QAnon nonsense? I know the higher the number, the better the position for those who support the mainstream media narrative. It is like othering flatearthers and probably fun in a certain sense. That's how politics works. However, is it really rational to label all Trump supporters with the Q label or terrorist label? If there is a desire to bring the country together, does ridicule help or hinder? Should the hand of friendship be extended? How should that be done assuming you want to do so?canpakes wrote: ↑Thu Jan 21, 2021 2:46 amRight. And - judging by the newest messages on the board - most seem to be adjusting to the facts of their failed prophet by now asserting that even this is part of ‘the plan’. Their egos are far too large to yield to logic.Doctor CamNC4Me wrote: ↑Thu Jan 21, 2021 2:25 amIt’s so crazy because even on /pol/ they’ll occasionally post the screencap of the first ten or so Q posts. It’s literally a larp.
And yet, here we are. Dr. Gadianton couldn’t be more right. It’s become a new religious movement. It’s the oddest thing...

I don’t think that all Trump supporters are QAnon acolytes. But it’s fair to say that all QAnon acolytes are supporters of Trump, and there are a fair number of these folks, as witnessed from message boards like the one referenced, past Trump rallies, and the Red Rebellion of a few weeks ago.
Given that we watched an event in real time today that puts the lie to the past two year’s ramblings of ‘Q’, yet these believers simply shrug off their own witness of that reality to preferentially burrow deeper into their constructed fantasy, what is the method that you’d suggest we use to engage these folks on the same plane of rationality, in a friendly manner?

How about changing your perspective a little.Dr. Exiled wrote:Realistically, how many do you think support or believe in the QAnon nonsense?
How many Trump supporters supported or believed Trump's lies about the election being stolen?

We can't take farmers and take all their people and send them back because they don't have maybe what they're supposed to have. They get rid of some of the people who have been there for 25 years and they work great and then you throw them out and they're replaced by criminals.

Re: It's all over but the pouting
Many years ago there was an experiment with autistic kids where they partnered with a faciliator. The facilitator would let their hand be 'guided' by the child, and by using an alphabet board, the child could communicate.
It was a revolution in autism. We could communicate! In fact, many of the faciliators began to discover that the children were being abused at home, which resulted in some parents losing custody.
Except the whole thing was a fraud. Tests were performed, where the autistic child was shown one image and the facilitator was shown another image. Invariably the image described was the one seen by the facilitator. And yet people wanted to believe that the wall of silence had been broken that many refused to believe it.
QAnon was just not the calling card of half-baked revolutionaries. It was a belief system, pair of glasses you put on every day to see the world. Now the lens through which they saw the world has been shattered. It's a long trip back to reality. Not everyone will make the journey.

The great problem of any civilization is how to rejuvenate itself without rebarbarization.

Saw a report in a mainstream media source claiming that Trump's IQ test while at the military academy scored him at a 73. While this seems low, given his manifest learning disabilities, and the reported maladjustment and bad behavior that got him sent to military school, this kind of score seems far more likely than the 156 claimed by his cult.

I would have guessed a score in the range of 95-96.DrW wrote: ↑Thu Jan 21, 2021 11:53 amSaw a report in a mainstream media source claiming that Trump's IQ test while at the military academy scored him at a 73. Hmmm ...
https://www.politifact.com/factchecks/2 ... -Trump-ha/
That may perhaps encourage ajax not to feel so hostile to fact checking? Our ruling
A screenshot of what appears to be a newspaper clipping claims that Trump has a 73 IQ, according to a test he took when he attended New York Military Academy in the 1960s.
That test never took place, an alumni association leader said, and the newspaper clipping pictured does not exist outside of the meme. The pictures in the post of people involved in the discovery were also cherry-picked and miscaptioned.

>Democrats blatantly defrauding the election completely demoralized me. The US lacking the legal infrastructure to combat such wide spread and obvious fraud blackpilled me beyond recovery. I maintained hope up to the Supreme Court decision and then shut it off..
I'm not the type to break the law, but there are certain circumstances where decisions can be highly unethical, despite being completely legal. My blackpillness has basically nullified any feeling of guilt for unethical actions. I feel like I can do anything now, no matter who it suffers from it. As long as its legal, I don't care. If I benefit from it, that's all that matters. Anyone else been turned this way by the 2020 election?
And then an anon simply asks for proof regarding the 'defrauding the election claim and gets this typical answer:I agree with everything you just wrote.
In all honesty the whole time I was kind of dream hoping that the whole messy business would end with Pence becoming President somehow.
It's astonishing to me how disconnected so many people are. I suppose once you ensconce in an echo chamber the feelz are better than the realz.I'm not engaging with bots and shills.
