You are invited to witness a new discovery, with me, Shulem. Pull up a comfortable chair and make yourself comfortable. I have something new to reveal about Facsimile No. 1. Pour yourself a cup of coffee or a glass of tea, whatever you prefer. Light up a smoke. Relax. Break the Word of Wisdom!
First, look at the photo below and you'll find an important sketch MARK indicator drawn by the person wielding the pencil who alone is responsible for sketching the so-called priest's head and bony Abraham on the altar. What MARK do I refer to? A MARK that indicates that a single person was responsible for the doodling pencil sketches and was determined to fill in the lacunae.
1. It is a hash mark.
2. A mark of authority set by the penman
3. A mark to go back and fill in the blank
4. A mark indicating that he didn't know how to proceed
See if YOU can find that MARK! I'll come back shortly to tell you exactly where it is incase you can't find it.
Isn't this exciting? Join me, Shulem, in unlocking the secrets of Joseph Smith's papyrus!
