First. the list of Country's banned came from the Obama Admin, so lying by claiming "Trump Business" had something to do with it is a JOKE.

Second, the country's on the list wasn't based on 9/11 or otherwise.
It was based on country's that don't have good Records to be able to properly identify and track people to see if they are a risk or not, or who they say they are.

A travel ban which stops people from certain areas with primarily Muslim populations can be called a Muslim ban even if id does not stop all Muslims everywhere. Stopping all Muslims would run into legal problems of discrimination based upon religion so was not put into effect. A partial version sidestepping the problem was put into effect.
