Do you not have a Facebook account?
I do, but I stopped using it in earnest in around 2009.

So, feel free to disagree with any or all of those points. But the, uh, point in me copying-and-pasting that is so you can see what goes on in the mind of a Trump supporter. Right or wrong, that's what they believe. And guess what? They think you are wrong on every point about which you disagree with them. So who's right?
I'm sure they feel these points are valid with every fiber of their being, but they are screwed up believing that crap. That is the most rose colored glasses view of the past 4 years one could possibly take.

I read the news, and I don't rely on a single source. I only accept that something is true if it is widely reported. These people are living in a fantasyland.

Don't get me wrong - it's not that I haven't heard what they're saying. It's that what they're saying is simply not sensible or believable. It's difficult for me to feel sympathy for their position when they haven't done the work to verify that their concerns are valid.

I feel moved to make sure I say this for Jersey Girl: I am not against all forms of religion. I am against religion that deigns to impose itself on the rest of society. I have absolutely no problem with the way Jersey Girl practices her religion. I think she is a model for the right way to approach religion, if one feels they must.

Jersey Girl:

Please keep in mind that to most if not all the rest of us, a "narc" is an undercover police officer or someone working as a confidential informant who gathers evidence in order to bust someone, most often someone involved in the drug trade.
Do you think that I don't know that? In the context in which I used it, it fits. Please stop ignoring context.

I will also say that I like Jersey Girl because I like strong women. I watched Kamala Harris speak tonight and I thought, This is exactly what this country needs right now.

Obviously, I don't always agree with Jersey Girl, but I respect her point of view and care about it, because I believe it comes from an honest place. You can disagree with Jersey Girl, but it's foolish to question where it's coming from, I think.

Awesome, thoughtful post, Jersey Girl. I really appreciate it.
Oh thanks. See where I said this one thing?

When people's needs are met, THAT'S when we will see less conflict and experience real positive change.

The exact same thing is true for children. When children's needs are met, they are satisfied. When they are not met, they act out.

People who are satisfied don't act out. :-)

I am 100% sure that if we knew each other in real life, we would be close friends, Jersey Girl. You strike me as the exact kind of person I would care about if we were personal friends.

ETA: And this is in light of the disagreements we've had over the years. I like you despite myself.

I can't get no... satisfaction.

And I try, and I try...

I've been posting on a game playing Discord channel that has a lot of aggressive Trump supporters. Because they are much younger, they use terms I am unfamiliar with. I asked what "reeer" meant, but they just got evasive. Is this some sort of Alt-right code? What does it mean?

I agree! One of her best posts yet!
No precept or claim is more suspect or more likely to be false than one that can only be supported by invoking the claim of Divine authority for it--no matter who or what claims such authority.

Again, I couldn't agree more!
