What point were you trying to make?
I think the point he's trying to make is that Joseph Smith created all the rules of Mormonism, not God.

I said specifically that the leadership of the LDS church does not speak for God. Your witty rejoinder: This isn't Joseph Smith's church, it's Christ's. Your conflation of God and the church is not my problem; it's yours.
Isn't it ironic that you would condemn me for having a beer last night, but you think Joseph's sleeping around behind his wife's back was a-ok? What is it they say about conscience becoming seared?

We have just been asked now-a-days to not have any.
If Joseph had some back then it really didn't matter, he wasn't under any law not to have any. didn't Noah have a vineyard and make wine of his own?

I thought the principals and ordinances of the LDS church were eternal?
Guess not, or at least the profit can pick and choose.

Joseph did that.
Yeah, that angel with a flaming sword was quite the test.
I loved that guy with the flaming sword. Oh wait, that was Lord of the Rings. Nevermind.

The only thing wrong with alcohol, coffee, and tea was that Brigham couldn't figure out a way to make money off them, since he couldn't grow it, make it, or process it. That's why the WOW is what it is today, not because of anything Joseph had to do with changing it.

Nah, he created the foundation, and what he started has been added onto over time by "continuing revelation". The church might have done better had they simply stuck with Joseph Smith' original vision.
