I always end up wasting time on youtube watching dirty comedy videos.

**SHADES: YOU MAY WANT TO BREAK THIS YOUTUBE VIDEOFEST OFF AS A NEW THREAD. IT ONLY GETS WORSE FROM HERE**

Flirt to convert was the saying I heard my brother use while on his mission.

That sounds like "flirty fishing" that is done in the Children of God group. Well, almost, but not quite.

It really doesn't suprise me. I lived in the corridor during my late teens-early 20s and many of the faithful LDS girls are looking to snare a guy. If its a RM great. If they bring in a convert at least its new blood.

I don't know if this happens anymore out in Happy Valley(Utah county around BYU and UVSC), but when I was living there in the late 80s and early 90's girls would feel your thigh for the garment line.

NO LIE.

My roommate would put several layers of thin masking tape on the bottom of his bottom garmies to ensure detection. He said it was would make it easier to get some levi love from the Mormon girls.

Oh that is so gross....but true....I knew a few parents that would let their young thing stay out all night with a returned missionary....So those garmies were important
When I wake up I will be hungry....but this feels so good right now aaahhhhhh........

I used to believe that. I also used to believe that babies came from the stork, Santa clause was real and if I left a tooth under my pillow the tooth fary would give me cash in exchange for the tooth.

What I learned as i grew up was that adults lie to you in order to make the child feel comfortable about the unknown. What I faced and overcame was my fear of the unknown.

You need to do the same.

Just a quick question .... what if my "witness of the spirit" is that the Book of Mormon is made-up, and the Mormon church is wrong? Does that make it any less a witness?

The Holy Ghost edifys.

If you receive a witness that Jesus is not the Christ, or that you should not be baptised, or that you should not pray, that is a false spirit.

The teachings of Joseph Smith, and the testimony of the Book of Mormon, and the witness you recieve of the Holy Ghost is edifying in that it builds upon the teachings of all of the prophets from Adam till now.
