Hi Gaz...

Do you ever tell them no?

Most parents protect their young children.

Ever spank them?

I hope no parent would hit or purposely hurt a child?

Love doesent always mean sunshine and flowers.

It ALWAYS means care and compassion.

we as parents have never spanked our children...we have always tried to not to use the word no to much...
because the more you say no the more they just hear yes

Instead of saying no we try and offer choices.......which by the time they are older like my sons they have hopefuly learned how to make the right choices...and so far so good...make the right choices and good things happen...like you get to keep your drivers license....make the wrong choices loose your freedom...

so simple yet too many parents just want to spank which is quicker and easier but in long run spanking harms the child emotionally and the child does not learn how to make the right choices and become an adult

Being an adult means making the right choices every single and every momentof your life....and as parents we are the ones that produce adults
When I wake up I will be hungry....but this feels so good right now aaahhhhhh........

Stop being so sanctimonious, Gaz. It's not attractive. You are not an authority over Misery. Judge not, lest ye be judged, and the fires of hell prevail upon you. Isn't your butt burning? I'm not talking about hemmheroids...

Whats that smell?

You go out back, and your kids smoking weed.

How would you describe your reaction?

I'd join 'em, explain to them the health benefits and dangers, the legal risks, ask them to smoke indoors, and educate them about the risks of all recreational drugs, asking them to stick to non-addictive substances such as pot, extacy, acid, and shrooms, leaving the "hard" stuff alone.

Education beats law, any day.

Besides, I'd much rather my kids smoke pot, then go for the alternatives all my Mormon friends did in high school -- nyquil, dramamine, robitussin, etc. About 10 doses of each will give you some decent hallucinations, but it's got the chance to kill you. No one has ever died from using Pot.

You'd have some happy ass kids, LOL!

When we moved to Europe, I tried the wines along with mom and stepdad. I witnessed 10-year-olds getting cigarettes from the vending machines. But I never once experienced peer pressure while living there. Hell, my saying no meant more booze for them.

Note to self: take boyfriend to Oktoberfest...

Yeah. Why don't Mormons want everyone to practice "I teach them correct principles...blah-blah-blah."
"Suppose we've chosen the wrong god. Every time we go to church we're just making him madder and madder" --Homer Simpson's version of Pascal's Wager
Religion began when the first scoundrel met the first fool.
Religion is ignorance reduced to a system.

My we are talking the same language....I am really hoping the pot becomes legal in the next few years.....
Sorry but I am hoping...Nevada was supposedly seriously considering legalizing pot... I Think a person could have one ounce on them....I have not heard anything as to what has actually happened...
I would take smoking a joint anyday over alcohol.....
Because Keene you are right no one has ever smoked enough pot to kill them....but everyday you read somewhere that someone has died of alcohol poisoning

I had a friend....a dear friend that almost lost her son to alcohol poisoning....if she had not come home when she did....
We say no to drugs but we never go far enough...education about alcohol poisoning is seriously lacking

Wow, why I get the responses I do to such simple questions has now become so much clearer.
