Captain Jack is also the name of Johnny Depp's character in Pirates of the Caribbean. So what?

Your knowledge of pop culture is deep.

And this is a bad thing, how? All my life, I've managed to avoid accumulating knowledge of references to pornographic movies, illegal drugs, drinking alcohol; in their place, I am familiar with a Disney movie that is one of the most popular ever made, and thus I am subjected to sarcasm from you? Did someone pee in your Cheerios this morning?

Let's not forget Captain Jack H. Jacobs. Vietnam War Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient or Captain Jack Whyte the founder of the Irish Citizen Army, who fought in the British army during the Boer war or Captain Jack who entrenched his half-hundred warriors in the volcanic wilds of the lava beds of Southern Oregon and Northern California, and defied the United States Army for six months in the fierce Modc War of 1872 or Captain Jack Jouett, Revolutionary War Hero or Captain Jack McLain, SJ.

Quite a gamut to run here!!! Jason B said:
I don't mind GAs being paid. As long as it is reasonable. The devor all their time to what they do. In fact I think we need a paid clergy in the Church. Full time trained bishops and SPs would go a long way to making the Church better I think ad it would sure be a lot stress on the leaders and their families. (Bold & UL added in emphatic agreement!)

Jason, "... thou restoreth my hope, surely to goodness thou are slated to lead in the paths of righteousness..." (Literary licence taken:-)

"Captain Jack" an euphemism for masterbation?? Only if geneologically he is rooted in the Scandinavian tribe of "OFF". They sent forth many kin such as: Falling; Running; Breaking; Dying; Killing and Being. The latter tribe seemed to settle in the USA midwest and have been most toublesome in their proclivity to confuse "OFF" with "ON" and "Right" with "Wrong" seeming to elate in their confused state of Being...

IF a former NYC Mayor's mind, or anyone elses' is so stuck in adolescence as to dredge up, and/or enunciate and/or give credence to such an absurdidy is simply beyond the words in my limited vocabulary...

"Merry X-mas! to one and all!" Roger

I understand exactly what you are saying Harmony about trying not to accumulate knowledge about references to certain things...but it can be hard to avoid them all....
and then when you are in a room full of young people and you don't know what a certain things are referred to they look at you like you are complete idiot...

But when you try and turn the tables on them and reference something with your WORDS they can get so angry because you might actually know something.....

I have a hard time acting dumb but a even harder time when I am not allowed to be smart...

I think someone did piss in his Cheerios this morning
