I'm not in on the group hug with Wade. I give women a bad name. I'm a hysterical feminist. I'm quite sure he wouldn't want to hug me. Y'all go on and hug without me. I'll look inside myself and see if I can figure out why I don't want to hug someone who said all those things about me. I'm sure I just perceived things all wrong and there's nothing wrong with Wade - just something wrong with me.

Thank you for such a nice compliment. Oddly enough I took an IQ test through the school when I was 10 years old and then did one of those online tests last year, and scored exactly the same. Go figure.

And I haven't posted anything new (or anything worth reading) for a while on my blog. I have about 5 things in the works. I have tons of comedic ideas, but in the finishing department I leave something to be desired :(

I really enjoy your stuff, Bond.

How about taking both the young men and the young women in the ward to help out in one of these homes? It would not only give them an opportunity to perform an act of charity for people in need, but it would also give them the opportunity to witness first-hand the consequences of irresponsible sexual behavior. Have them look into the eyes of one of these homeless children while they read them a story, give them a small gift, or feed them a meal.

Even after service is given, unless your heart is made of stone, there is going to be an unmistakable wrench as you leave these young children, knowing what their lives are like unless they are adopted.

That type of lesson, to me, would be a much stronger visual than a licked cupcake.

Excellent suggestion Liz. Very good idea.

Thanks, Gazzy! :)

Kind of a humorous point to tag onto Harmony's earlier comment....If I had that type of "licked cupcake" lesson in my ward, I have a feeling that the results would be similar to Harmony's experience. The licked cupcake would get eaten anyway...particularly if it's chocolate. LOL

I seriously think this would be a wonderful opportunity for the youth in your area with a shelter like this so close by.

I just think that the kids of today don't need to be pandered to. We didn't need to be, either, but that's beside the point. I, for one, am grateful that they seem to have done away with the semi-annual "Standards' Nights" they used to hold in my ward and stake growing up.

Honest communication is the best tool. Of course, you have to have adults who are mature enough, and willing to actually do this. Sometimes, teen-agers are an intimidating bunch. ;)

They still have those here. The last one my deacon-aged son came home from looking rather shell-shocked.

Bond, I read a bit on your blog and I think you're being too modest! The jiggly jello was hilarious! I tried to comment on it, but couldn't for some reason. At any rate, I think your parodies are clever.

You just haven't been around Wade long enough to know how it works. Nothing is ever wrong with the church - it's always something wrong with your PERCEPTION of the church. We critics are all psychologically damaged. The sooner we accept that and gratefully accept wade's therapy, the better off we will all be. Accept your fate in life as a cupcake, dear. :O

Beastie,

I've only been around a few days and I do think I've got that figured out now!

And I don't mind being a cupcake as long as I'm frequently licked. :)

Thanks. I think you have to be logged in to reply on blogs.

I'll try to get some stuff finished up. I just had a thought about Packer getting a sex change and becoming pregnant. I think the title should be "Boyd K Preggers".

Boyd K. Packer's name just beggs to be parodied, doesn't it?

I wrote a parody once about Gordon B. Hinckley and Sheri Dew conceiving a body for the Holy Ghost. Of course, Hinckley required a continuous viagra IV drip prescribed by his physcian, Dr. Everwood, to accomplish the task. I thought it was funny, but like most of my parodies, no one else did, lol!

I await the completion of your parodies, Bond.

PS for Liz - They still have Standards Nights here, too. A Standards Night many years ago was where I learned French kissing was "sex with the mouth" LOL!

Oh, yeah...I had forgotten about that! Yes, they told us that French kissing was basically the same as oral sex.

LOL Too bad nobody listened. If French kissing was oral sex, none of us were virgins.
