He really doesn't want to read it. He didn't like that Roger blew him off and then sarcastically thanked him for his "efforts". And now here I am, trying to make an effort and he's not having it. You see, the cultural reference comes just when Gaz starts to zone out on this part of the chapter. What he really wants to do is pick out all the spicy sexual references and make a case around that.

Don't they read the Bible in the LDS Church? I thought they study one scripture each year and rotate as they go through the Quad. Maybe they go through the Triple and when they get to the Bible, they really use it for a sleep aid so no one ever really knows what it says.

Just working on a theory here.

Wait, we're talking about the group being addressed.

He is addressing members of the church there who are dealing with Romans, their fellow countrymen.
