Lindsey Graham admits that Trump could "destroy" GOP after he sent the RNC a cease-and-desist letter. The Senator continued to describe the former President along the lines of the duality of man. Trump, he said, has both a "dark side" and some "magic" in him. "What I'm trying to do is just harness the magic." Trump rose up on his stump and shouted, "So girly man think he can control Demon Trump? Trump crush!"
Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., has criticized Trump in the past several weeks, but said that he would ultimately support the former President's potential bid in 2024. "What else can we do? This hellspawn will have us all in its gullet if we do not capitulate to its demands", McConnell explained. "Romney's safe because he is coated in Mormon saliva which the demon cannot digest. It views the rest of us as delicious turtle soup."

Trump has the Republican Party by the male reproductive glands if he is able to divert all donations into his own account. He will be more than a Kingmaker, he will be their unquestioned despot. Rebranding to the Trump Party, complete with royalties, will complete the power lock.

I will probably never cease to find it incredible that so many people could have been so easily duped by so obvious a fraud and would-be despot!

It is quite disconcerting to suddenly find out how the massive number of idiots is in your own country.
Religion is for people whose existential fear is greater than their common sense.

The RNC has capitulated and will start funneling money to Donald Trump. I guess that is the magic Graham talked about.
The dark side Graham spoke about was no doubt the fascism inherent in Trump's base and perhaps the megalomaniacal nature of Trump himself.

Re: Trump and Intestines of Hell
So, we made a trail friend who happens to be a Danish national living in Phoenix. We were sharing some water with him, and he was like, "See? This is why I'm on the trail, because I have to be reminded that most people are decent." He then went on a mini screed about Trump and how it's mind blowing to him that tens of millions voted for an obvious grifter.
What can I say? Sorry?
We did share a nice moment when we mentioned how nice it is to have a President who doesn't demand your attention 24/7 and is legitimately focused on leadership and the business of all Americans. Here's to four years of normalcy in the White House.

Last night I started a book whose thesis is just what your trail friend said: the vast majority of people are decent. It began with the author’s attention to track down a real life Situation similar to Lord of the Flies. I’m looking forward to seeing how s/he makes the case.Doctor CamNC4Me wrote: ↑Wed Mar 10, 2021 3:24 pmSo, we made a trail friend who happens to be a Danish national living in Phoenix. Thanks. And in an object lesson about helping people you don't know - we actually bumped into this guy way after when we shared water with him (we cached some at a particularly dry stretch with the help of a trail angel). We were trying to hitch a ride into town because uber and Lyft don't operate around here, but weren't having luck. Today and tomorrow are heavy rain and snow days and we're like, "“F” that noise, let's wait it out in a room." Well, this guy was having lunch under an overpass and heard about the incoming weather so he decided to duck out, too. This dude hangs with us and is the one to eventually flag down a ride for all of us. And now I'm warm and crap posting from a bed in a bed and breakfast thanks to Lars.Res Ipsa wrote: ↑Wed Mar 10, 2021 3:46 pm

Good life lesson there, Doc. Glad you're out of the nasty weather.Doctor CamNC4Me wrote: ↑Wed Mar 10, 2021 5:28 pmThanks. Re: Trump and Intestines of Hell
Great post and object lesson, Doc. And that story from the New York Times Magazine literally brought tears to my eyes. I read it to my wife and daughters, with my voice threatening to crack as I read it. I wish every anti-immigrant conservative, especially the Trumpist variety, would read it and ponder over it.Doctor CamNC4Me wrote: ↑Wed Mar 10, 2021 5:28 pmThanks.
