What is interesting about Mormonism is that it does allow people to grow and to develop as human beings. Mormons are allowed to flip flop as their life progresses. Isn't life a learning process? If we poor humans had to stick with the opinions that we had when we were younger, we would certainly be a sad lot. Life is about learning and developing in multi-leveled directions. We human are not static in mindset.

I can understand Ray A. very well. The antimos and the countermos can use very persuasive tools in their discussions. They embrace their mindset as if it were truth as do Mormons. The difference however comes from intent. Mormons do it with love in their hearts. Love for good and love for humanity. The antimos and countermos do it with hatred. Hatred for the LDS church. Love energy is much better than hate energy. The hatred for the LDS church that can be read on the web by Mormons can cause frustration and anger among the Mormon readers. But it shouldn't. Love your enemy is the key in this regard.

In some strange way, I feel sorry for Tal and Scratch. And I do believe that in private they are good people but their hatred for Mormonism can overshadow such goodness. I prefer not to get angry with such posters. And perhaps Ray should do the same. I try to understand the hatred and not to become a part of it.

Wha...? Are you saying, Why Me, that I am permitted to deny and insult the Church my entire life and that, on my deathbed, I can simply repent, and all will be well??? If that is true, then you ought to inform Dan Peterson, Bill Hamblin, Wade Englund, and the entire Mopologetic Corps! They are wasting their entire lives!

Isn't life a learning process? If we poor humans had to stick with the opinions that we had when we were younger, we would certainly be a sad lot. Life is about learning and developing in multi-leveled directions. We human are not static in mindset.

I agree with this, but I'm not sure how/why you think this applies to Mormonism, which is quite an absolutist religion.

Well then, you misunderstand me enormously. I love the LDS Church very much. It pains me to know that I have this faith in my blood, and that it does such evil things to people. I admire and respect many things about the Church, but some things embarrass me to my very marrow.

In some strange way, I feel sorry for Tal and Scratch. And I do believe that in private they are good people but their hatred for Mormonism can overshadow such goodness. I do not hate Mormonism. I am critical of certain aspects of it. I am also very disappointed that intelligent people---such as certain notable Mopologists---would stand in the way of positive improvement in the Church.

One of the ONLY TRUE apostles of the lord Jesus Christ has a message for all members who are critical of the anointed leaders of the only true and living gospel on earth.

Take heed!

We inactives are best qualified to defend the LDS church. We don't have a dog in the fight as DR. Phil would say. I see things rather open mindedly. But I must confess my open mindedness can put a muzzle on the exmos or they can ban me from the discussion. I said to you on a different thread that I do go to church. I just don't do callings or talks. I am a back bencher. And maybe I don't attend all the meetings. But I still can defend the LDS church.

I am no judge. But if your heart is sincere it may go better for you in the after life. What I find interesting about human beings is that we all have biographies. You have a biography and in that biography there are clues as to why you are here writing as you do. I can be no judge of human behavior. As I said to you before I think that you are a good human being. That is the feeling that I get from your posts. As to others that I have come across on the countermo boards, I can feel the opposite. My understanding is simple. The LDS church has not been proven wrong and so I take an open position on it. I can never claim it false without conclusive proof.

I hardly think that honest commentary on things your idol has said constitutes "slander." Why is it that you feel this way? Are you really still sore about the "crack whore" remark? Please tell us why you were so mad at DCP to begin with, and why you have apparently undergone such a huge, whopping change of heart.... Your words in your old ZLMB posts are quite obvious in their feeling, Ray.... What are you trying to hide?

Theories and speculation. The "crack whore" remark has nothing to do with my position on Mormonism. I was mad at DCP because at the time I possessed the same apostate spirit you do now! And I realised it was wrong. When you escape your bitterness and slander, you will understand what I mean.

I am not "hiding" anything. I am who I am, inspite of you, DCP, or anyone else. I am a believer in Mormonism, and Joseph's Smith's prophetic calling, and heaven, earth nor hell can change that. Do you "get it" Scratch? Does this help explain anything? Probably not. Continue with your conspiracy theories. You are as blind as bat.

I don't know. The definitions can change. What does it mean to be inactive? I do classify myself as inactive.

You seem like a nice person also.

Your actions make you a hypocrite. Shut up or put up.
