I always liked Siouxie. Not as punk as the ones you mentioned, but more listenable to my tastes. Plus she dated the guy from the Sex Pistols, and was the leader of their fan club, so she has all the credentials.

I really love Concrete Blonde as well. I actually got to see them in concert a few years ago. They were great. I love her voice.

Here Joey, their most popular song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MIIlUHBNkEc

And the ever popular vampire song "Bloodletting", this one was a little hard to find: http://video.aol.com/video-detail/id/3615727354

We need to have an off topic punk thread.

Ask and you shall receive? Woohoo!

I watched the Concrete Blonde video. I don't remember them at all. She has a great voice.

Gorilla Biscuits were by far the best. Followed by Minor Threat.

Youth of Today also rocked.

A couple years back, I was up in SLC area visiting my brother. I snuck out for a smoke (yes, I was [and sometimes still am… it’s dang hard to quit] a Marlboro man) and was approached by two guys, one of which took my smoke from my mouth and threw it on the ground. Since there was two of them, I wasn't going to look for a scuffle, so I simply lit up another one. The other dude seemed to think he needed to take part in smokey-takey, and repeated the action that his friend had done moments before. So... once again, being the nonviolent Christian I was, I lit up another (it was a fresh pack, so I had plenty to spare). This time, one of them decided to push me.

I ended up walking away with a broken nose. To the best of my knowledge, they hobbled away with much worse injuries (and probably some wounded pride).

Silly straight-edgers. I used to skate in Naked City. I knows how to throw down.

Northwest Corner of the East-Siiiiiiide.

Peace out.

God I hate that movie. I need to head butt that director. And Matthew Lillard.

This is the only movie I've seen by the director. Is his other stuff pretty bad? Wait...I just looked him up on IMDB and it says he directed Witchcraft IV: The Virgin Heart. That answers my question.

Hey Blixa,
Where do you think Jawbreaker fits into the punk mix, if at all?

Jawbreaker with Rose McGowan? To see punk you need to see Decline of Western Civilization, Another State of Mind, and Suburbia.

I've never seen the SLC punk movie. Was it no good?
