Well well well...how things change.

Let's see - I point out a few oddities related to the publication of Obersturmbannführer Peterson's all-but-ignored latest book on "Muhammad, the Prophet", and who comes flying to the rescue but a blubbering man who, not so long ago, when he himself called Peterson on his nonsense, was thrashed verbally by him for his impudence. How dare Ray think independently? How dare he notice how silly Moprop is? How dare he not submissively fall in line behind Salt Lake City's mangods and their toadies?

What has happened since is all too predictable. Men may snipe - but often when they get thrashed, they end up not more antagonistic toward, but positively worshipful of, their thrasher. Thrasher becomes Master - Alpha. The humiliated and thrashed, in the most dysfunctional way, can fall in love. Hence, Ray, now (I wince to say it) doing a very good imitation of a happy prison bitch, who no doubt would stop at nothing to protect his Master.

Why, even the suggestion that Dan Peterson has about as much standing in the world of Islamic Studies as John Gee does in the world of Egyptology and Joseph Smith in the world of banking, triggers an outburst. It even triggers - no Freudian slip here of course - accusations from Ray that any former Mormon who dares view Peterson as what he actually is, has a secret homoerotic fascination with him. Doth Ray protest too much?

So far, Dan Peterson is but one of many hundreds of people on this planet who could have had successful, productive careers, but who made a few critical errors many years ago, and wound up immersed in, and spending life defending, a fraud. He is not alone at all, nor is he the most-lame-brained there is by any stretch. He just happens to be the chief propagandist for the silly religion that we here have all been involved with personally. As such, he deserves to be acknowledged for what he is, and what he isn't.

I personally hope for the day when apologists for fraud leave that occupation for more productive undertakings, and their cheap power trips and bullying stop inducing people like Ray, who for all I know is a sincere and well-intentioned person, to fairly idolize them.

Thanks for all of the "insightful" comments. Maybe I'll get nasty to Mormons, tell DCP to go jump, call the Book of Mormon a fraud, and start ratting on the Church again.

You never know, my status in the exmo world might even rise to that of Tali or Benson. According to Dr. Scratch (more along the Dr.Who line) , that's what I'm best at. And if my next "tuncoat" goes exmo way, and I start buttkissing Tali and Benson, I will be "top dog" here! Stay tuned while I email Stevo and apologise for calling him all those names in 2002, and confess that I've said "Goodbye to God".

It's all sooooo simple. Right, Scratchie? You really just want me to roll in the dirt with you, don't you?

Using that logic there's no need for you to criticise DCP, either. The Mormon Curtain has a whole page devoted to him. RFM has been slandering him for years. Kevin Graham's forum has a whole section devoted to him. The real reason you don't criticise KG, Scratch, is because you share too many of his sentiments. Whomever you disagree with you go try to dig up dirt on them, and twist and misrepresent their words ("Offender for a word" is what aptly comes to mind here), all the while preserving your infamous and cowardly anonymity, and this you deviously do in the name of "entertainment".

I will reply to your other points later. I do have a life to live outside of boards, which includes working 12-14 hour days. In the meantime, carry on with your character assassination.

Again, using that theory. I should now be a Benson buttkisser, since Benson "thrashed me" by default on RFM. Exmos have been thrashing me for years, insulting me, insulting my family, yet I haven't made them my Master. How come your theories only work when applied in certain situations?

Wow! You sound like Porter or Mercury here, Tal. Or are you reflecting your own homoerotic tendencies? Nothing surprises me in the world of music or cinema, you know. Then again aren't you one of those pushing the "Joseph Smith was a pedophile" line? Oh well, nothing should then surprise me.

What do you care if he did? He restored the precious gospel, so even if he was a rapist, pedophile, or even a murderer, that does not matter! He restored the truth!

As a matter of fact, Poly, I do care. If Joseph Smith was like some of the abusive pedophile priests I encountered in the Catholic education system, I would be concerned. I knew one who committed suicide after being exposed. On the other hand polygamy is nothing new. Read Owen Chadwick's The Reformation for bigamy and polygamy in the Church in the Middle Ages. Human nature is more complex than you might assume. You might also want to consider Dr. Lawrence Foster's Religion and Sexuality, which has a chapter on Joseph Smith, for an alternative view, at least, instead of Brodie psycho-biography.

Ray, is there any reason why you ignored all the questions I asked you? Why are you behaving in such a dodgy manner, mate? As for your quite obviously silly excuse regarding your work.....well, I'm not buying it. I have seen you on here at all hours of the day.

Anyways, your above is an oversimplification. Neither I nor KG have declared ourselves to be on a "holy crusade" ala DCP and his Mopologetic cohort. (Cf. "Apologetics by the Numbers" for his personal declaration on this matter.) As for "digging up dirt," what do you call FARMS Review? This is SOP for the Mopologists, so I can't really say that I feel much guilt about it.

How thick are you, Scratch? Did you not read that I would address them later? Does it ever occur to you that I would rather leave lengthy, detailed answers for when I have more time? Did you not read that I'm working 14 hour days (last night I worked 15 hours). Have you observed the length of my replies so far? Well, it's because of time, Scratch old boy. Be patient. It will be a couple of more days before I will have some play time.
