How does one attach an image inside the body of a post?
I am not very computer literate. Usually, though, I can figure things out through trial and error, but I cannot seem to post an image on this forum no matter how many times I try!
Could someone please tutor me in the art of picture posting?
Thanks,
KA

Is the pic online?
[ img]put url of pic here[/img]
(remove the space after the first bracket).
To get the url, right click on the pic, go to properties, and copy the url that appears there.
(i'm not sure that's the right way to do it, but that's how i do it).
If the pic is on your computer, upload it to photobucket.com, then follow the above steps.

*I have disabled the BBCode for this post, so that the code will appear*
KA,
Like Who Knows said, the code is quite simple. You will need to have the entire address for the location of the image.
Instructions for image location in Firefox: Right click on image. Select option "copy image location"
Instructions for image location in Internet Explorer: Right click on image. Select option "properties". There is the option there for "Address [URL]". You can highlight and copy from that.
Once you have your image address (either from another site, or from an image hosting site such as Photobucket) you can then post it.
You can either manually type in [img]insert address of image here[/img]
Or, just below the subject line of the text editor, is the option for "Img". If you click it once, it will automatically insert the opening tag [img] into your post at the cursor. Click the "Img" button a second time and it will insert the closing tag [/img].
Example of image code: [img]http://i138.photobucket.com/albums/q248/trixster_87/lastsunset.jpg[/img]

Just be aware that anyone can access that photobucket account - so i wouldn't put anything there (names, pics, etc.) that you don't care about anyone on this forum seeing.

Oh, No! I'd better get over there and delete those naked pics quick! Don't you dare go over there and peek before I erase them!
Just kidding!
Thanks for the heads up. I didn't realize people could access it from a pic I posted on this board.

Too late! oooh-la-la!
If someone posts a pic from their photobucket account, you can right click and see the URL of the photo - that will tell you the photobucket account, url path, etc.
How was the day at the beach? ;)

You sneaky devil.
Really, thanks for letting me know anyone could access it. I had no idea and was going to download a bunch of pics to share with family. I thought I could give them the password and only they'd be able to access the pictures.
And the day at the beach was wonderful. My girls were thrilled with the hermit crabs. I think they had fifty in a bucket until I forced the them to free the poor things.

I'd just create a forum photobucket account (for use on forums), or an MDB photobucket account. Keep it separate from your personal stuff.
Sorry, I should have told you in my first post.
If i were you, I'd take down that photo you already posted, and put it into a separate photobucket account. As long as the photo's there, anyone will have access.

I deleted all the pics from the nude beach on that account. Now, if you'll just keep what you saw to yourself, then no one will be the wiser! ;)
