Guilt and sin go hand in hand. can't have fake goalposts without the two.
The object of Mormon branded christianity is to establish false needs. These needs are enforced by feelings of guilt. I would say that this guilt is stronger among LDS than most mainstream christianity.

Shame is a sick thing. When I was LDS, so long as I was ashamed of who I was in every sense, they had me. But the moment I got tired of being ashamed of who I am, the bonds loosened, and that was the beginning of the end of my self-hatred.
Why anyone would want to dwell in that is beyond me. But perhaps we could ask our two TBM friends who stay in the telestial and terrestrial forums why...we might get an answer in between insults.

Says the one who doesn't understand the eternal nature of life and the perspective of God. The only other out would be one who does not believe the Bible to be the word of God. No accusation here. Just saying.

Some of the Bible isn't the word of God. Mormons aren't inerrants, bcspace.

That's an error in correlation. Some "Mormons", not understanding the context, have taken the liberty to ignore verses they don't like. The fact of the matter is that Bible corruption, as presented in LDS scripture (the Book of Mormon for example) speaks of it in terms of what's been removed rather than what's already there.
There certainly are some corruptions of the kind you are implying, but if you can't find a JST excerpt making the change, then there is no corruption from a Mormons' pov.

Hi BC-S, no accusations here either... But, what/who makes You the judge of my understanding of "...eternal nature...and..."God"? However You are absolutely correct i-- "...does not ;-) believe the Bible to be the word of "God"..." Obviously You do. On what basis, other than that of your faith, sect and your nurturing do you believe the Bible to be inerrant? If i'm understanding you correctly...
As for "...the eternal nature of life..." et al, it sounds as this might be a game of, "you show me yours & i'll show you mine." So, You go first.
It appears as if you have your own interpretation of AoF # 8??? Warm regards, Roger
