You can read an entire Harry Potter book in one day??

Yep....Harry Potter 6 I bought at 12:30 and started reading at 1 (in the AM) and finished at 9 or 10 (in the AM).

Isn't insomnia great?

And I can probably read the first 3 in one day.

Up next is the final Harry Potter book.

Who Knows, I don't know how you finished McCarthy's book. I couldn't stand it. He writes in the strangest, choppy sentences. Like me.

I never said I enjoyed it! :) I actually hated the book, but I can't just stop reading books - i have to finish them.

I wouldn't recommend it. It was hard to read (as KA noted, the writing style is horrible), and it was extremely depressing. I have no idea how it's done so well.

Did you remember anything in the book or even enjoy reading it??

That's because you've already read them once before, right?

Yeah....SLughorn and the gang. Lots of Ron snogging Lavender. Draco being a doofus. Shape killed Dumbledore. It's not exactly the most complex thing ever written. And I do enjoy reading them. ALthough I'm pissed off that they keep killing my favorite characters.....honestly kill Hagrid already!!!! All he does is slow down the story. He was important at the beginning of the series but now he's just added as some sort of obligation by Rowling.

That's because you've already read them once before, right?

Yeah....but when I first read them I (I was a little late in being hooked) I got #1 from somebody and read it in about 4 hours (it's only like 200 pages or so) and then went out and bought #2 and #3 and read them the following day. So yeah.

I don't think it's so hard to imagine the book being read in 8-9 hours. I just did the math. 652 pages in 8 hours = 81.5 pages per hour. That's 1.3 pages per minute. I just picked up my copy and read one page in less than 45 seconds, and I wasn't speed reading.

The only thing shocking, to me, about that statement is that someone could have 8-9 hours that they could devote to reading with no breaks. Not happening in my house. :)

Oh and now that I'm reflecting on the books I guess I won't do a massive re-read since I remember them all now. Thanks Shades for allowing me to reflect!

Un-frickin' believable! I guess I'm a little too OCD when I read. I can't imagine finishing a book in a week, much less a day, much less two in one day.

My oldest daughter and I are massive Harry Potter fans. I've ordered two books. We'll probably finish reading them the same day.

I'm totally addicted!

I agree with you, Bond. I wish Rowling would quit killing good characters. I was so mad when Dumbledore was killed. :(

Maybe he isn't really dead!

I also think that we're going to find out that Snape is actually good instead of evil.

I'm obsessive. I read "Da Vinci Code" in a day. I just couldn't put it down.

I don't think I can compile a list of all the books I'm currently reading and re-reading. I read about three or four a week, but I read fast unless I'm working on something very dense that needs a lot of attention.
