Bond, I'll be the heretic here and say that's a wise decision. I really love my children, and would defend them to the death. But it's been a very hard slog, and at nearly 53 I'm still carrying the burdens. When I retire to my cottage, and peace, I will love them even more. :) (The grandkids, three in all, I can hand back at the end of the day.)
Yeah.....I really don't have the urge to procreate or something.....I like kids....I just don't want to have to deal with them. I guess my non-religious nature of late makes me feel like "raising up seed" isn't a life goal or something that I should do during my life. I like the free life to be honest.
You're still young, Bond. It's not like you have to have kids tomorrow. Frankly, from my conversations with you, I think you would be a good Dad. ;)
What I would encourage you to do is get your school done now, while you're single, and get your career established, because once you DO have kids, there's no turning back.
I don't regret having kids, but I do regret the timing.
I'm enjoying raising my 3 year old MUCH more than I enjoyed raising my teen aged daughters. When I had the girls I was still a kid myself....24. I still had a lot to learn about myself. Having my son when I was 40 was a completely different experience, both emotionally and financially.
Re-reading this, I just realized I went into massive "Mom-mode" giving advice to Bond when he really didn't ask for it. Oh, well...sorry, Bond! LOL
I think my youngest is going to be like that. My older 3 are bright and fun, but not insanely crazy. But the youngest is going to be creative, I can tell.
All I know is that mine keep me on my toes constantly and they are rather calm-ish, lol.

I hope not....thanks for the vote of confidence on my as yet unseen/untested parental abilities.

Thanks for looking out for me mom....;P

You're afraid your daughters will become totally awesome hotties?

Well, when it's a choice between having granulated garlic poured into the air conditioning vents, having bird seed poured into the washing machine, and having the laundry room flooded thanks to a water hose in the dryer vent, then YES, I'll take bland kids any day of the week!
Do you like bland, boring food, too?
No, but I don't like spicy food.
How about bland, boring women?
No, just as long as she isn't too energetic.
"Finally, for your rather strange idea that miracles are somehow linked to the amount of gay sexual gratification that is taking place would require that primitive Christianity was launched by gay sex, would it not?"
Oh, come on, Shades.....Energetic women are the best kind! ;)
Well, it depends on what room of the house she's energetic.
