While this is true, let's be clear that in this case, there is no reason to believe Jersey Girl behaved foolishly. Further, Pumble is just plain wrong, Jersey Girl is not stupid.

Believe whatever you like, but this does not change reality.

If Pumble is really all that confused about Coffee's boasting and tough talk, then he's never met a Marine. Every successful Marine I've met thinks he's the biggest bad ass on the planet and likely exaggerates and fabricates as needed to keep the good stories coming.

I've had more that enough contact with most branches of the Armed Forces of the US and other countries. Marines I know do not need to pretend to be tough to show they are Marines, they rely on the fact they are Marines at all to show this. Nothing else needs to be said. I know quite a few Special Forces members of all varieties, and they are also quiet people in general. They know their actual abilities, and did not need ego stroking from others. Perhaps you hang around an insecure lot.

I'm not impressed by Pumble's debunking. There are some inconsistencies in Coffee's story yet that's all consistent with his story. If Coffee's broader claims are correct, I'd be more wary of a carefully crafted and polished narrative. Nothing so far Pumble has brought to the table convinces me that Coffee is not a war hero. Coffee should really, really, be careful about how far he takes the personal battles online. But I believe he's a marine who's seen combat and if it turns out I'm wrong on that, oh well. Scam of the century huh?

You cannot reason, which is completely unsurprising. Like I said, believe whatever you like, it does not change reality. All the necessary evidence is there. If you cannot analyze it correctly, then I suppose this is your burden.

Coffee's motorcycle stories also make sense to me. There are a lot of YOUNG marines without any savings who put near that into Mustangs and sport bikes etc. where I live.

Coffee claims to be 37.

To one of little intelligence I can understand how two years can seem like a significant time, but some people can remember two year old information (oftentimes information decades older than that).

What you call obsession and stalking is simply an inability to comprehend what intelligence actually is. It is amazing what reading and memory can do when properly employed, and sadly enough this is what you call stalking, reading and reasoning. Oddly enough you simply cannot do it.

Accepting anonymous posters at face value where there's virtually no personal risk involved seems to me to be the rational thing to do. We all know that a given percentage of us are trolls, big deal. Oh no - we all just got suckered into believe a poster is female when he's really male (for instance).

However, I anticipate that Pumplehoober may say that there was risk involved in that 1) we had death threats and 2) we were emotionally manipulated with tales of a son's death.

I think those would be valid points and is why I tend not to be emotionally attached on the internet. Of course I'm not much for emotionally attached at all, but anyhow . . .

As to Law Enforcement, I was indeed thinking of consulting lawyers first. Not only is my father an attourney, but I also have a few other connections that way as well (and they may very well tell me that nothing can be done, but at least then I'll have done my part).

As to whether Coffee was lying or not, I once again don't care. As to what he contributed I also made no comment. Pumplehoober is too foolish not to have realized that. I think I'm beginning to see a patter . . .

Alright, perhaps I should stop throwing his condescending boast back at him. It's not like I really care one way or the other. I'm just not particularly fond of having him belittle those whom I know to be intelligent posters such as Jersey Girl, you (Gad), or Liz (among others). The only person he may have tagged right is myself. I guess I was just good at snowing my math/engineering professors into thinking I knew the material. Either that or electrical engineering is something any old fool can do.

Actually, so did mine and I hope you don't think I was attacking you.

As I am one who judges people by contributions, it is my opinion that you, Liz, Jersey Girl, and many others all have contributed in ways much better than Pumplehoober has. I mean I kinda like y'all. Not, I'm sure, that he'll particularly care. After all how much should a guy care who has to go around condmening someone for being a braggart while yet boasting his own intelligence--a boast largely accomplished by attacking the intelligence of everyone else? Genius boy must have earned about a dozen Nobel Prizes by now with that clearly superior intellect of his that everyone else is just too stupid to notice. An intellect so superior it requires his constant effort to bring it to our attention.
