I don't mind tattoos, but I don't want one. My husband hates them on women, though, so I keep teasing him that I'm going to get a tramp stamp on my lower back, lol! I'm going to exmo conference without him and it would be hilarious to find a place that would airbrush a temporary one on for me. Tom would FREAK when got home!
KA
LOL!
How far away are you from Myrtle Beach?
They have those temporary tatoos in almost every beach shop. I've always been tempted to get one just to freak my husband out!

I got it almost 3 years ago. It really accentuates my skinny, white arm. I haven't heard the term "tramp stamp" before but it is by far the best description of those lower back tattoos. LOL.

Same sex attraction has always seemed to me to be someone's own private business in how they choose to handle it.

In that case, now we know what Wade's court of love wasn't about. . .
"Finally, for your rather strange idea that miracles are somehow linked to the amount of gay sexual gratification that is taking place would require that primitive Christianity was launched by gay sex, would it not?"
This is a great post, KA, and I am sorry that you took such a thing so far to the extreme that it effected your sexual life with your husband. I have my own spin on the idea of my body being a temple. The other day a friend at church realized that I had gotten a new tattoo in the last 6 months. They were like, "your body is a temple and you will regret this decision to get a tattoo," to which I replied, "this tattoo is sacred, and is no different than getting a stain glassed window in a temple."
My tattoos are well thought out and are lifelong commitments well before I ever get them. My newest one is an arm band, on my left arm, which wraps fully around my arm. It is tribal looking, and yet a personal design with an "eye" in the band facing outward from my body. It represents my marriage band I wear on the same arm, and the eye represents the concept of God to me (the idea that all things are seen by God, in a way).
My marriage is forever, and God is a concept I will never lose (I have been Godless at one point in my life, and I know that path is not where I shall be again). Regardless, a temple has a purpose and a reason. Yes, it should be treated with utmost care and consideration, but remember, real life temples have stained glass, burn incense (see Jewish Temples), and fulfill a purpose. My wife and I have no sexual hangups in our bedroom, as we feel the Mormon Church teaches chastity before marriage, but freaky-deaky once you are married.....
Hope this helps you KA to understand that the idea of making your body a temple doesn't mean you can't do anything w/in your temple. Just make sure they are what you want your temple to be and do and you are on the right pathway for it.

I always that that kind of remark exposed the weakness of the metaphor, but then again look at Mormon temples.
From the Ernest L. Wilkinson Diaries: "ELW dreams he's spattered w/ grease. Hundreds steal his greasy pants."
Well I've seen the pictures Who Knows' has of you at the beach.....and well I beg to differ.
(Alright I haven't really seen any pictures of KA's possible body that Who's Knows has or doesn't have....she may not even have a body....she may be like Pierce Brosnan's in Mars Attacks....a head that talks, but with no body....or maybe like Sara Jessica Parker's body in the same movie....a head attached to a small doggie's body.....or like Dr. Loveless in Wild Wild West....with half a body and half metal mechanical legs. Anyway.....I'm rambling on trying to hard to make a joke about people worshipping at KA's body....burning incense around her feet.....praying to any corns or bunyuns she may have.......erecting shrines around her ankles and knees......alright I just got done at the gym so I might be a little woozy...did I mention I'm listening to Rush and Green Day?...........Bond out)

Well, the Mormon Temples are places of sacred ordinances and special symbols. No different. The Metaphor never meant that you body is to remain some pure thing, moreso, its a sacred thing.

The close ups are not that good because I didn't really try to adjust my f-stop, iso, or shutter speed on this. Also it wraps around to the back of my arm (complete wrap), but I didn't bother to photograph the whole thing...
