There you go - when you can't refute my points, go out with a parting shot - "you talk too much".

One thing's sure. Becoming an LDS again has improved Ray A's vocabulary. Perhaps he could explain to ex LDS and never LDS the LDS interpretation of I Cor 13.

Well, if you believe Jesus has charity then perhaps you can explain why Jesus used the same term 'hypocrite' (and other colorful metaphors such as 'whited wall') against those who opposed him.
I don't think anyone who has read this thread would confuse Ray A with Jesus.

There may, of course, be more real Christianity in somebody who swears a blue streak ten miles long than in many others who are outwardly more pious.

That, I think, is a pretty obvious suggestion from the New Testament.

Not a popular idea in LDS culture, but true.

Of course, I think a "real" Christian would be just as concerned about the impending mass waves of violence against exmormons as he would be concerned about the impending mass waves of violence against Mormons.

But, then, the God of the Bible was content to command his followers to commit genocide, so I certainly could be wrong.

The important word in your statement is "may". And the inference you draw from the New Testament may be from verses which the apostate church changed.

Of course.

Am I to take it that, in Ray's case, you know otherwise?

Do you know when ENOUGH is ENOUGH?

Just F*** OFF!

Dan has been the object of your hate for TOO LONG.

Do you get it, s***h***? I have tried to be patient with you, but you have crossed the borders.

YOU, s***h***, are nothing but a BITTER anti-Mormon. I have had enough of your crap.
I don't read righteous anger. I read anger. If that's the spirit that comes from being LDS, I want nothing of it. It's as bad as the protesters LDS like to complain about.

That's just a cop out. You know you wouldn't be LDS for a million other reasons. By the way, when I was a practising LDS - I didn't swear. So your argument falls on its head. If swearing offends you so much - then don't associate with exmos on exmo boards.

Agree?

You aren't seriously suggesting, and I'm confident that you don't believe, that Mormonism encourages non-swearers to take up swearing, or that there is anything in Mormon doctrine that teaches swearing, or that Mormons are exceptionally prone to profanity (or, even, that there is a positive correlation between profanity and one's level of commitment to Mormonism and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints).

So -- seriously -- what is the point of that remark?

I'm not Richard, but I feel safe guessing that it's far more than the swearing that contributes to a troubling "spirit" coming from Ray.

As I've repeatedly pointed out, his attitude that the swearing and name-calling of RFMers is the moral equivalent of nazi supporters, while his own swearing and name-calling (and the name calling of other believers) is simply Christ-like, is particularly troubling.

If Mormonism is what has contributed to Ray's inability to see the moral equivalence between alluding (if he is correct] about the allusion, which is questionable in the first place) that Mormons are sociopaths, and flat out asserting that exmormons are inspired of Satan, then that, alone, should be enough to make someone want to stay away from it.

Just my opinion.
