where is it said that Joseph Smith is already a God?

And "prepare a throne for you" and "I make a way for your escape" make the whole concept of Joseph Smith's impending exaltation future tense.

This also shows a fundamental lack of comprehension of LDS doctrine on sealing which is no guarentee, just a conditional promise. For example, I am sealed to my wife, but that does not guarentee that I will still be married to her in the eternities.

This shows a fundamental lack of comprehension of LDS doctrine on having one's calling and election made sure. God told Joseph that his exaltation is guaranteed. If this isn't the second comforter, I don't know what is. Your sealing to your wife is a completely different subject.

That's how this passage was explained to me by my mission president, as Joseph having his calling and election made sure. Nothing conditional, nothing future tense. But what do I know? I went to BYU, otherwise known as "mickey mouse you." ;-)

Joseph Smith gets his calling and election made sure, and for internet Mormons that means no more than it means for a bushman to get circumsized. Either may or may not go to heaven and either may or may not become Gods.

I was really kind of shocked that bcspace didn't know this basic doctrine.
