No, I don't recall that specific comment. I do think Infymus was the poster who called me a Mormon sympathizer on this board which tells me he was missing many posts I've made (on this and other boards) that resulted in my being called a vicious anti-mormon.

Having said that...if he's on a rampage of some sort, I'd like you to tell me where that is. I did search up his recent posts and found one that appeared highly inflammatory on a thread about free will/agency. Is that it?

I respected you when you created the Mormon curtain. It was a great site in which you cataloged the exmo/mo world on theinternet and off. But seeing yu behave so badly in this forum makes me change my opinion on your approaches in person.

After spending about 15 minutes on his site I see it is not great site at all but full of the distortions, innacuracies and embellishments the Infantus is so full of here. Sure, he starts by telling something that is LDS and does happen in the LDS church but then distorts it. Things like 8 year old children are asked if they masturbate, tithing is on GROSS including food stamps, Medicare and money you even find on the ground, the Church teaches garments have magical powers, etc, etc,

Really pertty much distortions and trash.

Pretty soon your denial of all the silly things in Mormonism will leave you with nothing to believe in because of your continual denial of things you (and I) grew up believing. You KNOW that Mormons believe the things you mentioned. Once again you have so many compartments in your system of belief that it must be getting pretty hard to hold onto what you really believe.

Merc....you know I love you, babe...but I have to respectfully ask you....WTF?

I have never heard of an 8 year old being asked if they masturbate. Can you give me a real life for-instance?

Tithing---Any bishop I have ever interviewed with simply asks...Do you pay a full tithe? Some of the die-hard fundie Mormons insist that it should be paid on gross...but as far as I am aware, there is nothing in the Handbook of Instructions which states which way tithing needs to be paid. Maybe Rollo can shed some light on this one. He has a copy of it. Frankly, I've always paid net. As far as Medicare and food stamps....members are discouraged from taking these in the first place...although I know a lot of members who do...so technically, tithing should be a non-issue on something you're not suppose to take in the first place.

Garments---I was never taught that garments had magical powers...but the way most Mormons in Utah drive, they must think they are invincible.

What im talking about, specifically is the "truer practices", the asides in gospel doctrine and other instances of clarifications tacked onto the end of the silly rules such as paying tithing on interest earned, etc. It happens and I saw it all the time especially in the missionaries. We were told the "true" ways occasionally by the zealotous zone leaders trying to sound deep.

As for the 8 year olds, I was asked at the time of my baptismal interview if I was sexually moral or something to that effect. It made me feel dirty just being questioned along these lines, especially with my past history. that's all ill get into about that.

Actually, this is old advice. The bishop of my kids' college town ward advised my kids to go on food stamps and WIC.

Amen on the Utah driver comment. I was never taught that g's had magical powers. I was taught that it was disrespectful to throw them on the floor though, but they don't teach that anymore.

You learned the true face of Mormonism from Zone Leaders??? You do realize you're talking about 20-21 year olds with delusions of grandeur trying to sound deep? Did you also learn about poetry by reading the work of 15 year old goth or emo girls?

That's not your Bishop's fault you were uncomfortable. It's the fault of whoever caused what happened. Grow up.

I don't see why you are up in arms about learning about Mormonism from zone leaders. I agree with you but at the same time wonder why converts are able to learn about Mormonism from zone leaders or any other missionaries but im not able to quote the bulls*** space doctrine spweing forth from every missionary out there.

onflicted and desperate for confirmation Nehor, that's how I see you. But don't worry, that's common among your breed.
