I thought Clark was a lawyer rather than a biologist. by the way, this would be news to physicians. Perhaps we should seek confirmation from Rush Limbaugh.

Hi Steuss... :-)

I apologize for trying to give some historical/cultural insights into what the WoW meant to those who were there when it was written. It appears that you mostly just want to apply your own definitions, understanding and standards.

No need to apologize... I'm just trying to light heartedly point out that people pretty much interpret all things LDS in whatever fashion they wish.

People can bend/twist/reconfigure/reinterpret/change/alter/rearrange or whatever, scripture to say whatever they want it to say. So long as they do this while still believing they are good to go! :-)

If an earlier interpretation rings true, folks go with the idea that it was the first so most accurate. If a later interpretation fits better, then they go with the, "further light and knowledg" idea.

Its fine and I'm all for folks believing whatever they wish.

It is just an interesting phenomenon.

Now, to my ex and non Mormon friends, this does not mean I am going to leave the church. This means that I wanted a beer or two tonight, and so I did, and as I read the Words of Wisdom, that is okay. Anyhow, hehehehe... I'm so bad (NOT!!!)
It does mean one thing.

You are a hypocrite.

And I am here to point you out.

HYPOcrite.

Why not simply admit you were suckered into this cult that clad itself with the facade of families?

Go back to being yourself and forget the mistake you made.

If you are not going to do it 100%, for the love of your children, don't drag them into it.

Im glad to hear that you are being yourself. But like we have talked of in the past, bounce your opinions off the bishop and see if he revokes your temple recommend.

If his bishop does not then they are two HYPOcrites.

And if it is fast sunday, they will be Hungry Hungry HYPOcrites. Well Nef probably won't be...

I'd suggest fasting before this interview with your bishie. Slam four beers 15 minutes before your appointment.

Oh and have your wife drive you too and fro.

The first I had was a bad batch of Red Dog. I was a huge Guinness fan before my noggin couldn't stay "grounded" and the voices got out of control when alcohol was involved. For some reason, I often miss a tall can of Steal Reserve sometimes... *shrug*

Sheesh! Why get all bent out of shape that Nephi's interpretation of the WoW and other stuff doesn't match up with the encouraged orthodox view? The church would be a far better place with more people like Nephi in it. Just because some couldn't find a third way in it, doesn't mean Nephi can't. Seems like you guys should be encouraging him to continue finding his own way within Mormonism rather than castigating him for not living it like a GA would insist.
