The best thing I read today was someone calling Pahoran a modern-day Captain Moroni. Now that's funny.

Welcome back to the dark side Runtu. We missed you at the bi-monthly mixer of demons and evildoers.

If Runtu was clogging up the boards, he may have had his posts restricted to a certain number. Charity I believed has also experienced this. I don't think that Runtu will be banned. However, he will need to walk a fine line here. Dual personalities may not be appreciated at MAAD. I would wait and see what happens.

Also, bringing the problem over here is not a good sign. I may have just ate it for a few days to see what happens. But...we humans need to communicate and let loose sometimes.

Are you suggesting I'm a dual personality? Why would you say that?

Well, maybe I overreacted. I've been wrong before.

I think "Why Me" was talking about himself bringing it over here if I am not mistaken. But I am sure that the lightbearer is safe from banning or any type of restriction with his level of faith promoting posts.

Runtu,

How do you know your privileges are restricted? Restricted in what way?

I'm only allowed a certain number of posts in a 24-hour period. I couldn't post most of today because I was over the limit.

I don't understand the issue of dual personalities. It seems to me that when I'm in the company of mainly LDS that I need to appreciate their culture and tread lightly on sensitive subjects. So I do, out of respect for them!

When I'm here I still try to do that but feel less restriction. It's still me. Same personality... just respecting the different environments I find myself in.

rcrocket mentions that as well sometimes. It makes no sense to me.

When I'm at my parent's home I act slightly different then when I'm sitting about in the comfort of my own. Same woman. Different environment.

Runtu wrote:Without notice, I discovered that my posting privileges on MAD have been restricted. I'm guessing that's a sign that banning is next. It's kind of disappointing because I have been trying to be nice. But then I have had a lot of posts over there the last couple of days. Oh, well.

You guys are much nicer. One thing I learned over there this time is that there are some people who will take everything you say as an attack against the church. Maybe beastie is right that it's impossible to discuss these issues civilly with most people.

I totally understand what you're saying. I have been taken out of context on MAD before. I have been taken to be attacking the church and had violent responses....even had my thread closed in five minutes...although I totally wasn't intending to. I think this is because the MAD boarders (and all of us Mormons) are a little too sensitive to things that may sound bad, because they have been persecuted so in the past. This, I believe, is referred to as the "persecution complex"? I see it with my homosexual friends too. This board is great, though--especially the Celestial forum (though not many post there).

The so-called persecution in the past is just that: so-called. Especially in the recent past.
