Another excommunication waiting to happen?

Post by _Polygamy Porter »

...and subsequent possible ejection from BYU?

http://mormonstories.org/?p=324

It's one thing to be an exmo, its another thing to be a jack mo, but for christsakes.. a believing ho'mo'?

WHY?

Additionally, how can one be considered HOMOSEXUAL if they do not engage in such activities? I ask because the thin line that the COB walks is that gay folk are allowed in church so long as they do not engage in homosexual behavior.

On the heterosexual side, how can you be considered and adulterer if you do not engage in adultery? Or a fornicator if you do not engage in premarital sexual relations?

Is BYU full of inactive fornicators and adulterers? oh and homosexuals?

God damn, talk about a mind fack!

The list of things that could get someone booted from BYU is long and vaired. Why should this be exempt? I mean, geez! If they throw my daughter off campus because her shorts were too short, they have a very low threshold of tolerance.

Harmony,

Was your daughter booted from the campus for short shorts?

Was she visiting or a student?

She wasn't wearing knee length shorts. They were mid-thigh. She was visiting.

See that is the problem.

Had she only HAD the desire to wear mid thigh shorts but just not ACTED on that, she would have not been removed from the property.

She needed to be a short short wearer in knee lenght shorts kind of girl.

That and she used the bathroom at her friend's apartment. BIG mistake. Almost got him booted from school.

The place is run by idiots.

Really?

You seem torn.

Many times on this board you will come running to defend the Mormons and yet you sit here and poke fun at the administration of their school.

Make up your mind.

I think that what Harmony does...and I also do this....is defend a person's right to believe Mormonism. This is different from defending the belief, itself.

And, yes, having attended BYU, I can also attest to the fact that the place is run by idiots.

I am not all black nor am I all white. Heck, I can even find some good in BYU (just not much in the administration).

I have made up my mind: I take each issue on its own merits. Just because some people have a blindspot or two or ten about the church doesn't mean we all do.

I don't know how much he believes anymore - he <Flexible> has been participation as a critic in the Lyndon Lamborn thread herehttp://www.eastvalleytribune.com/story/98035?cp=133#comments

it has been a fun romp through flawed apologetics, to say the least.
