We got it the first three times and you haven't added another thing except more disgust. Get out the thread or you will be taking a long sabbatical. There won't be any more warnings for people who want to use this board to throw tomatoes instead of substance. ~ Mods

And that was just in a good hearted exchange you had with Will Schryver. Your "warning" seems to have come from nowhere.

Oi!

Thanks for pointing that out. That is really bizarre. I make a joke about why I didn't invite Will to lunch, and they respond with that. *shrug*

I would hope it was just a quick trigger, and the mod's reading comprehension was just not that good.

Hmm.... Poor reading comprehension, quick trigger.... If she didn't vehemently deny that she was a mod, I swear that sounds just like juliann!

Substance=things that don't rub juliann the wrong way, no matter how stupid they are.

Advertising the board as a place for dialogue and "free idea zone" is 100% dishonest. The RfM comes right out and says that it wants no apologists there, and they still post there regularly for some reason. The reverse is not true with MAD. I'm sure juliann realizes that not too many people would post there if it were called something like "Recovery from Reality", which would be more accurate.

Runtu, along with the other, more thoughtful posters, will probably get banned soon enough, thus leaving the company to gripe with silly EVs about whether or not Mormons worship Joseph Smith (what, are there like 3 active threads on that topic there now?), thus proving conclusively to themselves that only utter idiots could possibly have a problem with Mormonism.

in my opinion, the MADdites always preferred to debate EVs. It was the arrival of secular critics that "ruined" ZLMB for them.

As for why runtu in particular is in their sights, I believe he is a constant reminder of their own hypocrisy. When he was a believer, pleading for kinder behavior was seen as a positive trait and praised. Now that he's a exbeliever, the same behavior is disdained as board nannyism.

It's much easier to argue with someone who shares a common belief. At least you start out with the same set of assumptions.

Absolutely does sound like her.

Of course she denied it. They deny the most obvious things on MAD (like the Mormon God having DNA. Next they'll deny God has cells, or organs, or two limbs and a head).

Anyway, that snarl sounds so much like Juliann: "There won't be any more warnings for people who want to use this board to throw tomatoes instead of substance. ~ Mods" Ha! It's her, I have no doubt.

I think it's because they can use their favorite argument with Bible believers - "well, your beliefs are illogical too!" "well, Bible prophets were nasty, too!"

In a way, "you are too" is the basic element in most of their arguments. Point out the racism of leaders - "well, back then everyone else was a racist too". Point out the utter absence of archaeological evidence for the Book of Mormon - "well, there's no evidence for the miracles in the Bible too".

They just get too frustrated with secular critics because those arguments no longer work.

It is rather pathetic that the Lord's "One True Church" has to resort to such lame arguments in the first place, but at least they give the LDS a sense of victory over EVs.

Your sarcasm is much appreciated. Now stop throwing tomatoes and start posting substance.
